This summer Michael goes camping for four days. Before he
leaves, his mum helps him to put some things in his rucksack.
His mother asks, How many clothes did the people ask you to
bring? He says, Ill need three sweaters, some socks, five
T-shirts and some shorts. His mum asks, How many daysare you going for? and Michael answers, Four days. Then
his mother laughs and says, But your rucksack wont be big
enough to carry all those clothes. What else are you going
to need? Michael thinks for a moment and says, Well, Peter
went camping last year so he has a tent and I dont need one.
Oh, I would like to take a torch, then we can see when its
dark. Can you give me some chocolate and biscuits too,
please, Mum? We might be hungry. His mum says, OK. And
would you like one bottle of lemonade? Michael says, Oh,
yes, please. I think thats everything. Im ready. Goodbye,
Mum. His mum says, Bye, and then she laughs again and
says, Michael, did Peter tell you how big his tent is? Maybe it
only has room for one person!
