ParentsAs you know,HVLLwill host its annualHit-A-Thon fundraising event onOpeningDay. Thisfun-for-allevent–exclusivelysponsoredbyRawlings–isdesignedtobeinclusiveforALLPLAYERS–regardlessofwhethertheyreceivedpledgesorpaidthebuyoutfee–willgettheirchanceat10pitchesonthebigday.HOWDOESITWORK?Pledgescaneitherbemadeasalumpsumorona“perhit”basis. Each playerwill receive 10 pitches, and hitswill be recorded on the TeamResultsForm. Theywill laterbeenteredontoeachplayer’spersonalpledgepageandpledgeswillautomaticallybedeductedatthattimebasedonthenumberofhits.Allplayerswillreceivecreditforaminimumof7hits,andamaximumof10hits.WHAT DO I DO WITH THE TEAM RESULTS FORM? In an effort to save time,please arrivewith your player names (first and last) and jersey number filled in.Next,collectanydonationsmadeviacashorcheck.Thenaseachplayerhits,recordthenumberofhitsinfairterritory(7,8,9or10).WHATDOWENEEDTODOONEVENTDAY?Eachteamwillreceiveadesignatedparticipationtime.Needlesstosay,itisveryimportantthatwekeepthingsmovingsopleasebesurethatyourteamarrivesontimeandisreadytogo(battinghelmetson,batsready, linedupinthedugout). Asyourteamhits,youwillneedtorecordthe number of hits per player. Again, each willreceive credit for a minimum of 7 hits, and amaximum of 10 hits. Once your team hascompleted their turn, they will feed the pitchingmachine and shag balls for the next group…thenyou are done!
