IBM Executive Briefing Center – Rome, Italy
SHOWCASE
Multinational technology and consulting company IBM chose a high-tech design for the interior of their new
Executive Briefing Center in Rome, Italy, investing in cutting-edge lighting to impress customers and reflect the
advanced nature of their brand. To achieve the desired effect, Traxon’ s Mesh RGB systems were used to create a
30-square meter virtual LED wall, visible from the second visitors enter the meeting space. Installed on the wall in
the center of the showroom, Mesh RGB creates a dynamic focal point and displays an exciting look into the future.
Mounted back-to-back, the 70% transparent LED grid systems is capable of displaying different graphics and video
on each side of the two-sided surface. Controlled via e:cue’ s Lighting Control Engine (LCE) and 36 Butlers, the
Mesh RGB gracefully displays lighting sequences programmed by Sangalli Tecnologies Srl, which were created
using the Lighting Application Suite (LAS) and a PC. The architectural design of the showroom, a vision of architect
Massimo Iosa Ghini, combined with Traxon & e:cue’ s dynamic and flexible lighting and control system, allowed this
solution to be completely tailored to IBM’ s requirements. The innovative lighting concept and geometry of this IBM
showroom highlights the minimalist design of the room, and represents the evolution of IBM as a global brand.
