Nominations are hereby invited for One (1) post of Vice President (2020-2021) cum President Elect (2021-2022), One (1) post of Hon. Secretary (2020-2022), One (1) post of Hon. Treasurer (2020-2022), One (1) post of Hon. Editor (2020-2022), Two (2) posts of Representative to central council (2020-2023) and Three (3) posts of Executive Committee Member- General category (2020-2023).

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Any Life Fellow Member of IPS-WZB may send his nomination (form enclosed as annexure ‘B’ below) as per the Article-V, Clause 17 of the constitution of IPS-WZB. Article-V, Clause-17 is read as under.

Any fellow of the IPS-WZB may be nominated for election of Vice President-cum President elect. The life fellow nominated for the office of Vice President-cum President Elect must be a life fellow of the IPS for at least 10 years, and must have served the Zone at least for one full term as a member of EC. The life fellow nominated for the post of Hon. Zonal Secretary or Representative to central council must be a life fellow of the IPS for at least 5 years, and must have served the Zone at least for one full term as a member of EC. A life fellow can propose or second only one candidate for one particular post. The life fellow nominated must express his consent in writing to be nominated for the said post.

2. A brief bio data of the nominee of not more than 100 words must be sent along with the nomination.

3. The nomination must be sent in a sealed envelope or password protected scanned PDF document on which “Nomination” shall be mentioned (over envelope or in subject of email. If a particular life fellow member filling more than one nomination for different posts, they should send the nomination in separate envelope or email.

4. The nomination should reach to Dr. Ashish Srivastava (Election officer & Hon. Zonal Sec., IPS-WZB) at following postal address by Speed post or courier OR email address – [email protected] on or before 10th July 2020.

THE PASSWORD SHOULD NOT BE SENT IN THE EMAIL. THE SAME WOULD BE ASKED FROM THE CANDIDATE DURING THE SCRUTINY MEETING AND THEN THE DOCUMENT WILL BE OPENED IN PRESENCE OF OFFICE BEARERS/EC MEMBERS PRESENT IN THE SRUTINY MEETING.

5. There will be Special Scrutiny Meeting of EC on 26th July 2020, where these nominations will be scrutinized.

6. If valid nominations are more than the declared number of posts against any office, then the nominees will be informed about it. The last date of withdrawal will be 10th August 2020 if anybody wishes to do so.

7. Even after the withdrawal, if there are more than the declared numbers of posts against any office, then in these difficult times of Coronapandemic,ifelectionwithballotisrequired,theninanticipationofapprovalofExtra-ordinaryGeneralBodyMeeting,at least thisyear,wewill go fore-voting.The link will be sent to all the life fellow members of IPS WZB. The result of the election will be declared at the 51st AGBM of IPS WZB.
