HeisnowhealthyandlivingsafelyinCanada.Althoughhehasaproblem;whenhewalksorruns,hisbumdropsandhitsthegroundsohehasdevelopedsores.Hetriedadoggiewheelchairbuthedidn’tlikeit.

Lt.Dan’srescuerwantedawaytoprotecthisbottomsothathewouldnotgetanymoresores.Weworkedtogethertocomeupwithawaytocoveruphisbottomsothatwhenhehittheground,hewasprotected.Butwestillneededtolethimdodogthingslikerollinthegrassandgotothebathroom.

WetookacastofLt.Dan’sbackendsothatwehadtheexactshapeofhishipsandlowertorso.Fromthatcastwemadeaplastic“bucket”withsoftfoaminsidethathesitsin.Therearecutoutsforhimtogotothebathroombuttheboneypartsthatrubonthegroundareprotected.
