of the year

The management of Crowne Plaza Al Thuraya City andHoliday Inn Al Thuraya City congratulates Ms AkshiSingh (Director of Housekeeping) for winning the

Hotelier Middle East’s Housekeeper of the year 2016 award.Her untiring dedication to her work led the judging teamto crown her with this year’s title.She fought off competi-tion from twenty other housekeepers across the region.

Mr Antoine Flouty, Area General Manager of IHG hotelsin Kuwait appreciated her dedication and commitment. Hementioned her contribution in rebranding Crowne PlazaKuwait into Holiday Inn Al Thuraya City and also opening anew Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City was phenomenalwhich is what made her stand out in the awards category.The Hotelier Middle East Awards 2016 took place onOctober 26, 2016, at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC.

The special guests received a grandwelcome at Kuwait international airport byTelangana Jagruthi Kuwait team and otherprominent people from Kuwait. The eventstarted at 9am in Hilton Hotel Telangana’sprominent women’s group gathering wel-comed guest of honor Kalvakuntla Kavithaand her team.

Bathukamma (‘Mother Goddess comeAlive’) represents the cultural spirit of

Telangana Kalvakuntla Kavitha is anambassador of this cultural event.Kavithakka took pledge to keep alive thisage old tradition of making Bathukamma.She herself sat to make beautiful flowerstack, she arranged flower pyramid withdifferent unique seasonal flowers most ofthem with medicinal values imported fromTelangana Region to Kuwait. She also sangfolk songs while arranging seven concen-tric layers of the different color flowers inthe shape of temple gopuram along withnonresidents of Telangana and Kuwaitiwomen’s group. While making bathukam-ma, Ms Abhilasha Suresh interviewed her,the live interview was telecasted in region-al televisions of Telangana and in allJagruthi organization websites.

torium Second half of the event started atTouristic Park Abbasiya Auditorium withwelcomed the auspicious gathering awarm welcome by hosts Mrs VijayaNirmala Yadav Nair and Abhilasha Suresh,as they set the mood for the specialevening of the day.

The Special Guests were welcomed onstage with a warm and cheerful welcomeby the audience. This was followed with animpressive performance of classical dancewhich was performed by Telangana’sblooming talents Vishnu Priya byShivathandav. The TJK presidentMuthyala Vinay thanked Deputy Chief ofMission at Indian Embassy M Sub hashishGoldar, all well-wishers, distinguishedguests and extended special thanks to theevent sponsors in his message heenhanced the importance of bathukammaand its upliftment by respecting our tradi-tional and local culture.

The special evening of public event wascontinued with grand welcome of famouscelebrity artist of V6 news channel teenMaar fame Ms Matakari Mangli with greatapplause from the audience the colorfulCultural Programs presented by Manglicaptured audions attention for more thanan hour which indeed a mind blowingmusical treat to the audience.
