CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Howard Dirks called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
1.0 OPEN SESSION FOR PUBLIC
Ms Lorraine Gair entered the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Ms Gair gave a short presentation listing some of the activities planned for the Family Fun Fair during Spock Days on June 8, 2013.
2.0 Delegations
2.1 Vulcan Centennial Committee
On behalf of the Vulcan Centennial Committee, Mrs. Louise Schmidt, Co-Chairman and Mr. Mike Hameluck, Secretary presented Council with two Centennial Flags.
2.2 Canadian Badlands Foundation
Canadian Badlands Foundation was in Town on May 13, 2013 to gather information on residents who live and work in the area in order to assess the local tourism product needs.
Darlis Collinge with the Canadian Badlands Foundation addressed Council giving a short verbal presentation about the role of the Canadian Badlands Foundation.

5.0 Unfinished Business
5.1 Old Fire Hall Basement Lease
It is the intention of the FCSS to run the youth center in the community and they have approached the Town about renting space in the Old Fire Hall Basement for this purpose. Council directed administration to prepare a draft lease for their consideration which has been completed and given to Council for consideration.

The 2012 Financial Statements and the Auditor’s report were approved at a Council Special Meeting held on April 29th, 2013.

10.3 Vulcan Regional Food Bank Society – Funding Request
The Vulcan Regional Food Bank has recently become a society and is currently seeking funding to construct its own building. The Food Bank Society is therefore requesting a donation from the Town.
