Point: Patterns in Migration and How the Earth was Populated

Task: On the provided blank map, depict the locations of the early humans (Australopithecus, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Neanderthal, Cro-Magnon, and Modern Human), focusing on their migration routes. Fill in the map with the following information: location, migration route, tools they used (symbols/illustrations), and animals they hunted (symbols/pictures). For clarity, color code the routes of the different Early Humans.

Food/Animals: Please use the following websites/primary sources to research the cave art left behind by the various Early Humans. Analyze the cave art to best determine what types of animals they hunted/coexisted with.

Arrangement: Groups of approximately 4 members

Tips: You will have two days to complete this task. Use your time wisely. This involves a lot of work, and should be shared equally by all group members.

Grading:

You will receive two grades- one for group participation and one for completing the above task. You will be graded on thoroughness and neatness.
