JNR1010 router fails to connect to Internet - Troubleshooting
The JNR1010 wireless router is designed to connect to a cable modem supplied by your cable ISP,
and provide wired and wireless Internet access to multiple devices in the home.
In most cases, the connecting an ethernet cable between the cable modem and the JNR1010 and
running the setup wizard, as per the supplied instructions, will get the JNR1010 connected to the
Internet.
If it does not, the following troubleshooting steps should get it working :

If your ISP requires a login to connect (most cable ISP's do not), at Does your internet
connection requires a login? , select Yes, and fill the information that is required on the field
to enable the login :
Enter your ISP’s username and password.i.
Enter your ISP’s Service Name, if required.ii.
Select Connection Mode to “Always ON”iii.
Note:These credentials (PPPoE/PPPoA, Login, Password, Service Name) are provided by
the ISP

For Internet IP Address, select the radio button Get Dynamically from ISP.7.
For Domain Name Server (DNS) Address, select the radio button Get Automatically from
ISP, unless your ISP has specified that DNS servers are to be specified manually, in which
case select Use These DNS Servers and enter the DNS IP address or addresses supplied by
the ISP.

Click Apply.9.
Use the computer MAC address
A very small number of ISP's limit Internet access to the MAC address of your computer, so that
only this computer can access the Internet over this connection. If this is the case, make sure that
you are logged on to the router using the computer that the ISP has authorised, then select Use
Computer MAC Address :

Click Apply , then turn the router, cable modem and computer off and on again. The router is now
pretending to be the authorized computer, and will allow multiple devices to access the Internet
over this connection simultaneously.
