Kharkiv is a major cultural, scientific, educational, transport and industrial center of Ukraine
Ukraine is one of the top countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the third country in the world at IT outsourcing.
Currently, Kharkiv is the first city in Ukraine in the field of IT outsorsing. In Kharkiv, there are more than 55 IT courses and more than 234 IT
companies. For students and young generation of Kharkiv it is important to know where to go in life. Our project allows them to
understand all the aspects and advantages of the most successful sphere of the city and choose the path in their life.
World Without Borders. IT Literacy
We expect 26 interns Dates 11/01/2016-‐22/02/2016
Within 6 weeks (4 days per week) interns will conduct classes related to IT sphere in various schools, universities
Basic skills of different programming languages such
as programming languages: Java, HTML, Delphi, C ++, C #,
PHP;
English lessons connected with IT sphere, for example, project
management, customer servicing, user support, internal communication
between programmers (for example, what are bugs, lugs etc.)
About the Project
Every week (1 day per week), interns will be involved also in the activities that will make Kharkiv famous as IT capital not only inside of
the country but also all over the world.

conduct speaking clubs on the topic of project management,
customer servicing, user support, internal
communication between programmers
14 interns will have excursions to the
biggest IT companies in Kharkiv and create articles
and reports about these companies

• conducting lessons and language lessons for school students (15-17 years old) and universities students (17-21 years old)*
• participating in creating events with other interns in a team • preparing external speaking clubs with other interns in a team • participating in excursions in IT companies and write blogs and
articles about their experience there interns in a team • participating in Global Village • participating in LC activities
*lessons about one of the programming languages (Java, HTML, Delphi, C ++, C #, PHP)
