TroubleshootingGeneral

The power does not turn on when the AC adaptor is connected. MakesuretheACadaptorisconnectedtothewalloutlet

firmly.The power does not turn on when the AC adaptor is disconnected, or the / button indicator flashes several times and then the power of the unit turns off. Therechargeablebatterymaybedepleted.Inthiscase,

connecttotheACadaptortochargethebattery.(See“Toprepareapowersource.”)

The rechargeable battery is depleted. ConnecttotheACadaptortochargethebattery.There is no audio. AdjustVOLUME +/−(VOL +/−ontheremote

commander).Noise is heard. Ensurethattheunitisnotinthevicinityofin-use

portablephones,etc.The two different music sources are mixed together during playback. StopplaybackofyouriPodorexternalcomponent.The BATTERY/CHARGE indicator (red) flashes. Therechargeablebatteryisnotconnectedproperly,or

cannotbechargedforsomereason.Checkthatthebatteryconnectorisconnectedfirmly;otherwise,replacethebattery.

iPod

There is no audio. MakesuretheiPodisconnectedfirmly.Operation is not performed. MakesuretheiPodisconnectedfirmly.The iPod does not charge. MakesuretheiPodisconnectedfirmly. MakesuretheACadaptorisconnectedfirmly.

Audio-in

There is no audio. Makesuretheaudioconnectingcableisconnected

firmly.The sound is low. Confirmthevolumeoftheconnectedexternal

component.

Remote commander

The remote commander does not function. Replacethebatteryintheremotecommanderwitha

newoneifitisweak. Makesurethatyouarepointingtheremotecommander

attheremotesensorontheunit. Removeanyobstaclesinthepathoftheremote

commanderandtheunit. Makesuretheremotesensorisnotexposedtostrong

lightsuchasdirectsunlightorfluorescentlamplight. Moveclosertotheunitwhenusingtheremote

commander.

Operations

Power sourcePower management systemAfterplaybackoftheiPod(orcomponentconnectedtoAUDIO INjack)hasfinished,ifnooperationisperformedforabout20minutes,theunitwillautomaticallyturnoff.
