TeamSnap#1 Communication Tool for CESC
• Update your personal TeamSnap with all contact information.
• Make sure that emails through TeamSnap do not go to SPAM/Junk
• This will be our primary communication source.
It’s raining…
What does that mean?
We are going to get wet at practice.
Dress appropriately.
Weather ProtocolsAll Protocols at www.columbusexpress.com
• Training is not cancelled until you hear from a team coach, Group Coordinator, or Director of Coaching
• We understand that families have lots moving parts, our staff will work to make any Cancellation Decisions or Training Changes with sufficient times for families to arrange. We understand a training change may alter your transportation or attendance.
You’re sick & won’t be at school
What does that mean?
You need to contact your Coach as soon as possible.
Allows coaches to alter training and prepare the group.
Attendance PolicyWe Want All Coaches to Take Attendance This Year
• CESC should be your extracurricular priority during the Fall & Spring.
• Work with coaches early if there are conflicts
• Attendance is expected and playing time may be reduced if a player is not at training.
• Failure to relay absence of training can cause removal from CESC.
• Absence without notice to games or tournaments is justifiable for removal from CESC without refund.
The players that have had the biggest growth or improvement over the last three years are not the most skilled or most athletic,
they are the kids that have the highest attendance.
Show Up Early. Work Hard. Stay Late. Get Better.

What feedback can you provide to CESC coaches?
Parent Feedback• More communication about my son’s performance and improved areas. As much
as team performance is more critical, individual performance and contributions are needed so that we can help our kids.
• The coach’s inter-personal skills with the kids could be a little better at times. Sometime it feels like the coach is just there to do a job, not too interested in getting to know the kids in detail. My kid has been with CESC now for almost 2 years, can't say the coach knows my kid all that well except for soccer-specific details.
• Continue to provide constructive feedback on when they don't do things correctly and how to improve, but also to ensure to let them know when they are playing well and when their game has improved. Coach towards the second half of the season said our son has improved a lot from where he started last year. That was a huge confidence booster for our son.

Empathy
Coaches will need an empathetic approach towards learning, mentoring, and teaching. By having the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, coaches will be able to connect with players effectively and establish a trusting environment.
