Exhibitor TipsNothing beats the enormous value of meeting current clients and potential customers face-to-face. However, just buying a booth and showing up doesn’t make the most of your investment. Here are five easy tips for making an impact on your trade show experience!
1 Invite Attendees
4 Extend your Reach
5 Converting Those Leads
2 Booth Refresh 3 Booth
PersonnelStudies show a majority of people attend events for one reason: they are invited! Do not rely solely on conference organizers to market or advertise the trade show floor. Let attendees know you will be in attendance and invite them to stop by YOUR booth.
Giveaways generate excitement among attendees. Promotional giveaways that are visible and fun are a great way to extend your booth’s reach. Hand out wearables, light up trinkets, big stickers, etc. and turn it into a game. Those who you see wearing your promo win a prize!
The conference is over but for you, the work has just begun. Make post show lead follow-up a priority. Contact leads with your first communication no more than one week after the conclusion of the event.
When was the last time your booth was changed or updated? Take a second look and evaluate items like messaging; Is it still on point? What do your graphics look like? Is it time to change irrelevant photos or copy? Don’t spend money on a whole new booth when simple updates to graphic panels may work. Keep your booth fresh and up-to-date.
Who works in your booth is just as important as how your booth looks. Keep the number of staff comparable to your booth size. Too many or too few send subtle messages to attendees. Send the most knowledgeable personnel who are familiar with the product and/or service you are promoting. And send staff who are engaging and personable.
