PROCEDURES USED IN THE FOLLOWING SERVICE
Conducting surveys – an occasional survey may be made to obtain data on the present status of each student.Use of telephone – the guidance worker may use the telephone in a follow-up study of students.
The use of follow-up letters – a letter serves the same fundamental purpose as does a follow-up questionnaire.
PLACEMENT SERVICE
Placement is a service within the guidance program which is designed to assist students in the selection of suitable courses or curricula, extra- class activities and part-time or full-time employment or appropriate career choices and skills.

COUNSELING SERVICEIt implies planned

person to person relationship of counselor
and counselee.
FUNCTIONS OF COUNSELING SERVICE
Study the real life environment. Define the problem situation Establish the parameter of the
program Design a counseling model Pilot test the model Introduce the system. Operate the system Evaluate the system Eliminate the system
BASIC FACTS OF COUNSELING The process involves a two-way relationship
and responsibility. Counseling service should be extended to
all students in the schools and the former pupils who have graduated or who have left schools.
Some staff members should be trained to work with different groups of students on various phases of the guidance program including the counseling service
BASIC FACTS OF COUNSELING The need of the counselee gives rise to the
development of the counseling situation which is aimed at the satisfaction of those needs
The counseling process passes through three stages:
