Founded over 20 years ago, Baumot developed drive technolo-gies and overhauled diesel engines for many years, in the process building up its core com - petency in application management for innova-tive exhaust aftertreatment systems and services. With 13 distribution and service facilities as well as three production sites on three continents, Baumot is your partner when it comes to progressive, reliable and economical solutions to reduce diesel emissions.

Among the active systems developed by Baumot are the burner and the heating coil system.
The burner system (BA-F) is characterized by the unique pro-perty that, due to the exhaust back pressure, it regenerates itself fully auto matically, without external energy supply, and during vehicle operation. This is achieved by heating up the exhaust with a cold flame enabling easy regeneration even at average exhaust temperatures of below 50°C. This solution is especially suitable for vehicles in stop-and-go operation or which are used at only low full load.
The heating coil system (BA-H) regenerates automatically by increasing the exhaust temperature with a heating coil in dependence of the measured exhaust back pressure. If the system is connected to an energy source, regeneration can occur independently of the temperature during vehicle operation. This method is especially suitable for stationary systems such as emergency power generators and compressors.
The additive system (BA-A) automatically adds an additive to the diesel fuel. As a result, the exhaust temperature increases and regeneration can occur above an average exhaust temperature of 280°C. The BA-A system is especially suitable for older engines with higher oil consumption or in the presence of very high sulfur values ( > 350 ppm).
Hybrid exhaust aftertreatment systemsAll these DPF systems can be combined with each other to
meet specific requirements. On the basis of our experience accumulated in the area of exhaust aftertreatment in the course of decades, we offer the ideal system for all applications and operating conditions.
A combined system may, for example, be required if you are faced with high sulfur values and low exhaust temperatures. In that case we would configure and produce a customized system for you in accordance with the criteria of efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Passive, active and hybrid exhaust aftertreatment systems
Baumot offers a universal product portfolio consisting of passive, active and hybrid DPF as well as DeNOx systems. All systems are as standard fitted with a data logger and manufactured in accordance with OEM quality requirements. Thanks to the patented closure, all systems can be mounted and dismounted in a few minutes and are extremely low maintenance*.
Passive SystemsPassive DPF systems regenerate themselves by means
of a catalytic coating of the ceramic monolith completely autonomously, continually and independently of the exhaust back pressure.
The main advantage of passive Baumot systems is the company’s own coating technology which is configured and produced individually to suit specific requirements (BA). Due to support by a DOC, regeneration is possible from an average exhaust temperature of only 220°C. In the process, the NO2 /NOx ratio remains constant (BA-B). Both the BA and the BA-B system can be used for all diesel engines with a performance of over 18 kW and an average exhaust temperature of 250°C or 220°C without any problems.
