About The Conference
Two days International Conference on “Smart Infrastructure & Environment” was organized by
Department of Civil Engineering, Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), Jaipur.
The objective of the conference was to provide an intellectual forum for exchange of knowledge and
informational about the Smart designing of the environment. PIET, Jaipur a premier institution in
engineering education established in the academic year 2007, is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical
University (RTU) and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The management makes sustained efforts to
use education as an instrument for growth of economy and is the driving force & inspirational spirit
behind the establishment of PIET. PIET aims at providing world class technical and scientific
education which can develop a professional outlook in every walk of life.
Continuing with our legacy of providing competitive scenario and emphasizing holistic
development, we feel immense pleasure to inform you that we are organizing “The Smart City
Convergence 2019” on April 06-07, 2019. The theme of the Convergence 2019 is “Role of
Engineers in Innovation and Technological Advancement”. The objective of “The Smart City
Convergence 2019” is to provide a platform to all the researchers, engineers, academicians, industry
delegates and students to discuss the contribution of engineers in the smart city mission. Energy,
Infrastructure and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are seen as parallel and
interdependent factors for smartness for a city. A 'smart city' is an urban region that is highly
advanced in terms of overall infrastructure, sustainable real estate, communication and market
viability. It is a city where information technology is the principal infrastructure and the basis for
providing essential services to residents. In this context, we are organizing a conference to make use
of the smart computing and technologies to build state-of-the-art smart cities across India and lead
the world towards it.
We are pleased to announce “International Conference on Smart Infrastructure and Environment
(ICSIE) under Smart City Convergence 2019”, The main objective of this conference to analyze key
trends, showcase technology solutions, discuss & propose solutions and strategies to make renowned
smart cities.
The smart City Convergence 2019 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE student Chapter, ISTE, CSI
Jaipur Chapter and Institute of Engineers. Papers passing the peer review, recommended and
presented in the conferences shall be published in SCOPUS Indexed journal and others in UGC
approved journal. A copy of the all the brochures is enclosed. For more details please visit our
official website http://piet.poornima.org.
May I request you to kindly circulate the brochures enclosed here with among the faculty members,
research scholars and students in related disciplines of your esteemed organization. It is further
requested to kindly encourage faculty members and students for taking advantage of this unique
opportunity of sharing knowledge and information. The last date for submitting full paper is March
