1.2 UV 105 Power Supply Unit
The UV 105 power supply unit provides the LE 4xx M and the CC 42x with power during operation with the SIMODRIVE or POWER DRIVE inverter system.
The adapter connector must be connected with X69 of the UV 105.
The cover for the UV 105 and the adapter connector for X69 are included in the items supplied.

1.4 Protective PCB for SIEMENS inverter
The protective PCB protects the supply leads of the dc-link voltage from the SIMODRIVE inverter to the UV 105 or LE 4xx PA/PB.

Round cable 20-pin

The 20-pin round cable connects the outputs of the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the corresponding interface cards in the SIMODRIVE 611 D or the power modules of the POWER DRIVE. One cable is required for each axis or spindle.
Ribbon cable 20-pin
(SIMODRIVE and
POWER DRIVE)
The 20-pin ribbon cable connects the outputs of the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the corresponding interface cards in the SIMODRIVE 611 D or the power modules of the POWER DRIVE. One 20-pin ribbon cable is required for each axis or spindle.
You can calculate the length of the required 20-pin ribbon cable as follows:
���� Add the width of all modules (including the UV 105 and installation kit) between the LE 4xx M or CC 42x and the power module for which the cable length is to be calculated.
���� Add to this total width the width of the power module for which you are calculating the cable length.
���� From the following table, select the next longer cable length(only LE 430 M/9 axes and CC 42x with more than 6 control loops: cable length after the next).

Covers for the cable
(SIMODRIVE)
The cables must be covered to protect them against interference.
The cover for the LE 4xx M or the CC 42x is supplied with the LE 4xx M or CC 42x. The cover for the UV 105 is supplied with the UV 105.
The covers for the power modules and a lateral termination cap for the covers must be ordered separately:
���� Add the width of all power modules (for widths see 20 pin ribbon cable)
���� To this total width, add at least 50 mm(to cover the infeed/regenerative feedback module)
���� From the following table, select the covers that you need to attain the calculated total width.
Note
The covers for the power modules are needed only for the SIMODRIVE inverter systems, not for the POWER DRIVE inverter systems.

2.2.2 Connections
The UV 105 has a 50-line ribbon cable for power supply to the LE 4xx M or CC 42x.
It is your responsibility to protect the infeed lines of the dc-link voltage from the SIMODRIVE 611 D to the UV 105. HEIDENHAIN offers a protective PCB (Id. Nr. 296 965-01) for installation in SIEMENS infeed/regenerative feedback modules. This PCB has four A/500 V fuses.

3 Mounting and Installation
3.1 General Information
3.1.1 Configuration of Modules (only LE 4xx M, CC 42x)
For each power module, the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the SIMODRIVE 611 D inverter system needs the proper expansion board from HEIDENHAIN. The UV 105 power module is required to supply the LE 4xx M or CC 42x.
Only the UV 105 supply module is required to operate the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the POWER DRIVE inverter system.
In all cases, the UV 105 supply module is arranged next to the LE 4xx M or CC 42x at left. In single-row configuration, the inverter system is arranged additionally next to the UV 105 at its left. The double-row inverter configuration can be arranged anywhere in the electrical cabinet and is limited only by the maximum cable length of the PWM cable of the LE 4xx M or CC 42x.
3.1.2 Connecting the Modules (only LE 4xx M, CC 42x)
If you use the SIMODRIVE 611 D, the feed lines of the dc-link voltage to the UV 105 must be protected with the protective PCB. For this purpose the infeed/regenerative feedback module of the SIMODRIVE 611 D inverter is installed.
The 50-line ribbon cable of the UV 105 connects the LE 4xx M or the CC 42x with the UV 105 and supplies the power. The CC 42x is also supplied with 5 V over two lines from the UV 105.
Single-row configuration:
The 20-pin ribbon cable connects the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the interface cards from HEIDENHAIN in the SIMODRIVE 611 D power modules or the power modules of the POWER DRIVE inverter. These 20-line ribbon cables supply the PWM signals from the axes and the spindle.
Double-row configuration:
The 20-pin round cable connects the LE 4xx M or CC 42x with the interface cards from HEIDENHAIN in the SIMODRIVE 611 D power modules or the power modules of the POWER DRIVE inverter. The cables are lead to the inverter rows through the installation kit.These 20-pin ribbon cables supply the PWM signals from the axes and the spindle.

The cables on the inverters must be covered to protect them against interference.
The protective cover for the LE or CC 42x is supplied along with the LE or CC 42x, and that for the UV 105 is provided with the UV 105.
The covers for the HEIDENHAIN expansion boards for the single-row and double-row configuration must be ordered separately to match the inverter configuration.
No covers from HEIDENHAIN are required for the POWER DRIVE inverters.
