This issue’s guest editor of SKY Magazine is Louise Mandumbwa, an 18 year old SKYgirl from Francistown. She’s a freelance photographer and a passionate member of Junior Chamber International.
Hi, SKY Nation ☺ Half the time I think of myself as a girl in progress, because I’m always trying to learn and grow and find ways to challenge myself. When I became a SKY girl a year ago, words couldn’t describe how ecstatic I was at the prospect at getting to interact with beautiful and motivated girls who like me, were just trying to figure life out.
One of the beautiful things about SKY is that it’s about being part of a community that allows us to celebrate who we are and what we stand for. SKY-Fam realise that we’re most awesome when we embrace every aspect of what inspires us.
I know countless girls who giggle over nail polish or will get into pillow fights, but in their spare time
volunteer with organizations like Rotary, or learn sign language to help out at a deaf school or stand up for people that can’t do it themselves; girls that light up the most when they’re striving to make their schools, communities and homes a better place, and dedicate their hustle to grasping every opportunity that presents itself to do something meaningful.
Girls (and guys) like that? They’re the real MVPs, just by being the amazing pacesetters they’ve always been. Aloud. Steve Jobs once said “The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that do. Do you. Be shameless and stay true to yourself. ☺ So, this one is most definitely for the trailblazers, innovators and the dreamers in us all. In the words of the brilliant Marian White “It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
Love, Louise

Men and Boys for Gender Equality - MBGE shares stories about ways that men and boys can be more involved in family life and bigging up their sisters’ achievements. Whenever we see guys stepping up on issues affecting both men and women, our heart gets a big :) This reminds us a LOT of our #SKY_Guy brothers ;)
Memory Banda, 18, from Malawi and Achie, 16, from Ethiopia believe that girls should be allowed to grow up and go to school, not be married off as young as 11, which is the case in some traditions. Letter to my 14 year old sel
f
Dear Nana
I wish at that tender age, som
ebody had handed me a life manual to memorise, so I
knew
better what to expect from the never
ending discoveries of this journ
ey.
Honestly, being younger is far ea
sier than the respons
ibility that comes with being an ad
ult.
Your sister will tell you
that you aren’t the ty
pical 14 year old.... Maturity see
ms to make it’s
acquaintance with you at
an early age, with the tra
gic loss of your fathe
r. Being introduced
to such unanticipated
pain set a precedence for th
e kind of person you will become, injected
with a strength that w
ill prepare you for what comes with growth.
Soon, you will start to
develop a curiosity for
understanding who you are, as many questi
ons
arise within yourself. It’s not
because of your albinism, but from being a typ
ical teenager in
an all- girls’ school...
You will wonder if you are beautiful en
ough... If you aren’t cool
enough- because we all know
how critical teenagers ar
e of each other without being upfron
t, at times. Although finding
yourself is a gradual process
, remember that you have a m
other whom you can’t disappoint;
a good head on your shoulders; unmatched love and support fr
om home and those who
matter and your own ambition to achieve and make something of m
yself.
You see, when you look at your
peers, you will learn ho
w to gauge what’s important to
you.
Do you please your fri
ends- who won’t be responsible for your
future, or do you listen
to
logic, practice princip
le and make friends by empowering yours
elf through education? You
chose the latter, and
it was the best route you could have take
n, because it gives you th
e
opportunity to nurture
your intelligence an
d be brave enough to say ye
s and no within reason.
I’m glad you stuck to your g
uns because I can safely s
ay the foundation you c
hose to
follow and grow from helps you develop a b
ackbone and true self love. You will never tr
y
to find the wrong kind of love or validation from
somebody else, or let anybody affect yo
u
negatively because you
will be firm in who you are. You will come to understand that you
can never make everyb
ody happy, and the best thing y
ou can ever do is live a l
ife filled with
purpose, spirit, love an
d happiness.
You can never say you
know it all, because it would mean losing
your hunger to contin
ue
learning, and one of the
secrets to being a decent soul
is to have a desire to ke
ep learning:
“life is a never- ending journey
of discovery,” and your reac
tion to each discovery determines
whether you sink or sw

Make sure you are able to take
pride in the individual you’ll b

If you’ve been inspired by this edition’s stories of SKY people who rock it by giving their time and energy to others, and want to volunteer, too, take our quiz to find out where you might be
happiest! <3
The Doer (0-8 points)
You love being hands- on with whatever
you’re involved in. You might like
to look into volunteering at your
church, whenever they are feeding or
handing out blankets to the community-
alternatively, o ka ya ko BSPCA and
volunteer with the pets, there… At
home, you could also offer to babysit
your niece or neighbour’s kids- and you
would love every minute of it! :D
The Philanthropist (9-17 points)
Even if it is the love in your heart,
you pass it forward! You value giving,
and whether it is your time, your
energy, sharing your lunch money or
giving up old clothes, you’re definitely
a philanthropist! You’re likely to share
your passion with those around you, and
whenever you have a little extra, you’ll
give it away. <3
The Fundraiser (18-25 points)
You have a knack for getting people
to listen to your point of view and
have a way of making sure that things
run according to schedule. This is a
valuable skill to have, when you are
a part of a charity, as much of the
‘behind the scenes’ of it all has to do
with budgets, funding and fundraising.
You’re able to make the most out of very
little and are smart as a whip! <3

with her, this weekend. You:

b) Playing with the dog- pets are such fun companions :)
(5 points)
c) You’ll help your mum go tlhatswa- sometimes that laundry
just PILES up, tho! (1 point)

our leftover lunch in! (3 points)
c) Sharing is caring :) (5 points)
Your friends would describe you as:
a) Dependable. (1 point)

The girl who is always true to herself is very smart, therefore she deserve all the love and care:) she has a stand that balances her ways. Girls who know themselves are always self- motivated... I really respect that kind of gal, and to all those who know what they want in lyf, I shout out to them... SKY
Batsile SekatiI support a girl who is true to herself because she always has goals to achieve. A girl like that can always be proud of her choices or decisions.
I like referring to girls as ladies coz of the respect I have for them... A lady who is true to herself automatically knows what she wants, a lady who knows what she wants automatically has the confidence to be herself no matter how much pressure is put against her.... She knows how a lady should behave /take herself ga ana le batho ba bangwe, she respects herself, she doesn’t give up on what she wants until she gets it, she is the strongest of all ladies, she doesn’t let other people dictate her life for her, she makes her own decisions about her life... Most importantly, she knows when to say, “No, ke shapo”.... She is the most respected in the community... She is a real woman and we as real men respect ladies like that...

A gal who knows what she wants is stable and self-confident, she makes a choice and sticks to it... I respect a gal who is not pressurised by her peers or who make decisions to please their friends. I value girls who respect their bodies, other people and being friendly towards each other... Kabelo Clinton
Tyson Tladinyane
Well, I think a girl who is true to herself is autonomous. I respect her a lot coz if she is true to herself, she builds a good atmosphere around her & she is aware of what’s right & wrong:) & she can block out negative vibes around her... If she is true She will also be assertive & able to stand her ground without any shame:) she will be sure of what she would do & what she would not do:) I wud in a nutshell say: she is the queen of herself & also acts according to what she knows is right.
Thabo Dima
When you get to understand each and every aspect of yourself whether physically or inside as a person, you get to have confidence and trust in your capabilities and you also get to know your limitations as a person. In this manner nobody can bring you down for any flaw that you are already aware of, Also no one can force or influence you into something that at the end of the day will not be focused towards building you. My message to the #SKYNation is to understand yourself, it all begins with you in the mirror!

New Voices of SKY
It’s been a while since we reloaded SKY on radio :D SKY Live
is on Saturday afternoons between 2pm and 3pm, with a new
pair of dope teen presenters, who won the radio competition :D
They each bring something special to the show- read on! <3
Refilwe
Hey SKY national my name is Refilwe Barbiki Mooketsi a SKYgirl of 17 years old schooling at GSS.
What inspired u to enter the compertition?well what inspired me was a friend of mine Neo Bernadette Maswabi and Priscilla Karabo Kegametswe who really believed in me and saw the potential I had (not that i doubted myself) and they also saw my capabilities. So i joined the radio competition with hope and faith.
How did you feel when you were on radio for the first time?: ) Hehe i don’t wanna lie i was so scareeeed i was looking, watching and judging me. When I entered the studio i started feeling butterflies in my tummy. Gosh!!! as soon as i noticed i was live on air i started scrumbling for words and panicked. Minkie, Mandy and Warona ne ba ntibile thata. I tried to keep calm, say nice words and kept to keep my talk short. But all in all i did my best!
What are u going to bring to the show that is a special something about your personality?Ayoba!!! entertainment all the way as i am a fun, loud sky girl...,,, yall behold coz awesomeness is about to blast ko Yarona Fm
Please give a short shout out to the sky nation and sky guys about the show or anything in general that you’d like to sayFirstly thank u so much for voting for me sky national and guys....if it wasn’t for u guys i would have not be in the position i am today....u guys helped me alot and i appreciate it since my dream finally came to life.....i rata yall alot and i promise i will always make u proud and keep the awesome work. Stay true to yourself and up your game. Much love
Thabo :D
Firstly when i heard about the competition i literally jumped through the roof! It was exactly what i was looking for. Not only was it a chance for me to grow my CV but it was a chance for me to grow as a person, and inspire and stand up for other youngsters who’ve experienced alot of challenges such as being bullied so it was an opportunity i could not miss!
I am passionate about anything to do with media, whether its tv, art, dance, radio you name it! its such an amazing field and i hold it close to my heart. For me its a form of self expression and thats very important as a person, to express yourself and do it to the max!
It felt like nothing i’ve ever felt before...it was joy, nerves, excitement topped with a feeling of accomplishment. Warona, Mandi and Minkx were so welcoming and it just felt like home
SKY Nation stand up!! I am your voice, i am your shoulder to cry on, my inbox and Twitter are always open for u! And to the SKY Guys out there lets take the initiative, lets break the stereotypes that boys are always the most unruly, lets show our female counterparts that we CAN change and join them in knowing ourselves, whats good for us and succeeding beyond belief in life! #SKYGuysAreFlyGuys

shapo ka peer pressure, so SKYMag
wanted to FInd out: “Is it harder
to stay true to yourself when
you’re hanging with a big group of
people? Yes or no, and why?”
Here’s what you said!
Katso Sesame LekgoaThat’s a very controversial issue... But I figure one’s
strong mind and beliefs should govern their distinguished
differences… Of course there will be obstacles because of the
different individual conduct of err1 in the group... But certainly,
NO should truly mean No... Nothing more... Nothing less...
Lesole Nkaymo KeamogetseI say yes because most of us are influenced by our friends
or peers... This is because everyone would want to fit
in... We all know that birds with the same feathers flock
together... I personally believe that one should not have too
many friends 1 or 2 is enough. #shapo_ka_grup

I would say it depends on what kind of attitude u have and if u r
willing to stay true to ur self. U should always promise to be true to
ur self, n once again “It’s better to be hated 4 wat u r than 2 be loved

My favourite book is by Ben Carson, named ‘Think Big’ it gave me a different perspective of life... I used to give up on a lot of things my life; education and my family because we grow up with no father but then I talked to my friend who gave me the book to read… Truly, Ben Carson lived a life that was more difficult than I thought mine was… He showed me that without education, you can’t become what you desire; he taught me reading skills and how to move on in life and not hold on to the past. He is an inspiration to me because he made his life worthwhile, even when his parents we not on good terms… I want this book to be featured in the mag to help a young girl out there who had the same situation as mine… Now I have a bond with my family, and am doing well at school.
My favourite book of all time is called ‘The Shack’ by William Young. This book taught me about prayer because the story reads like a prayer - filled with sweat and wonder and transparency and lots of surprises... It is an exceptional book that ushered me directly into the heart and nature if God in the midst of agonizing human suffering… This book talks about a man who is going through a lot in life.
His daughter was abducted during a family vacation and evidence is found in an abandoned shack that she has been brutally murdered. Four years pass and this man receives a suspicious note, which is
apparently from God, inviting him to the shack for a weekend. Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his worst nightmare. What he finds there changes his life forever. In our world religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant... ‘The Shack’ wrestles with this timeless question: Where is God in world filled with so much unspeakable pain? Well let me tell you that the answers I got from this book astounded me and transformed me...it made me believe that God is always there watching over us... Ke sure ka Modimo!

Hey, sistas ;) So many of us are sure ka reading that we HAD to ask what your fave books are! Tshego, Mitche and Kimberly won our book review competition- read them, below- and read the books they recommend, if you get the chance <3
Most people have watched the movie, but trust me- the book is much better! It won’t take all your homework time either! (It’s only around 400 pages long)… ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ is about a teenage girl called Hazel Grace Lancester who has cancer. It will definitely get you crying, but not the sad, ‘oh no! There’s no hope, she’s dying!’ kind of tears... But the ‘what a beautiful soul she is!’ kind of tears, the ‘oh my God, I need to change my life!’ kind :D
There’s also an awesome love interest, Augustus Waters, and believe me- he’ll make you believe they are not all stupid idiotic jerks, lol… It will inspire you, help you appreciate the value of your life and get you thinking ‘what can I do to make sure I don’t take my life for granted?’ Read it SKY Sisters! READ IT!

She was an exceptional singer and had an angelic voice. One afternoon during the school’s lunch break, Dimpho was again made fun of by some mean girls who disliked her and thought that they controlled the school. Dimpho ran away from them and went to sit on a bench by a nearby tree, weeping.
She put on her headphones and started to play one of her favourite songs- it always motivated her to never give up on everything she does. Without realising it, Dimpho closed her eyes and got lost in the music. She started singing along to the beautiful song. She sang loudly, yet beautifully. She then opened her eyes and found half of the school staring at her in awe. She was frightened. She had never let anyone hear her sing.
People starting applauding. She thought they only did that cause of her singing when actually the words of the song also touched them and taught them to appreciate everyone just the way they are. Not because of how they look, but their personality, which they could relate with Dimpho’s everyday life situation.
Also, they were amazed by her beautiful voice! From that day, she felt better about herself, confident and assertive. She was able to make friends, and in time even her grades started improving. She’d always tell herself that only God knows why she was bullied at first, but now she had to love herself the way she was and that she was blessed with a great voice. Dimpho was all that everyone could talk about. She was blessed.
Phenyo Oaitse There was once a girl named Dimpho. The eleven year old was bullied all the time because she was overweight, and had been bullied from the age of seven. She tried telling her parents but they never paid attention and had no time because they spent most of their hours at work. Dimpho would cry herself to sleep every day because she had no friends. She kept telling herself that she was ugly and unlovable. This also affected her grades, which made her lose hope in everything, even her life. She felt like she was useless.
However, Dimpho had a hidden talent that nobody, including her workaholic parents, knew about. She could sing.

Despite her humble background, Lynette wanted
the finer things in life. She wanted Brazilian
weaves, P600 shoes, pedicures, manicures, long,
beautiful dresses and leather handbags. She
wanted it all but could anyone in her circumstances
really have it all?
One year, Lynette’s mum got a Christmas bonus and
as usual, she planned to buy her kids Christmas
clothes. Early in the morning, they got ready to go
shopping; they all boarded a combi and as a bid to
save money, the older kids held the younger ones
on their laps. When they got to the mall they all
headed to the little Chinese shop around the corner;
it was the only one they could afford. Their mum
could only spare P600 on her kids and they all had
to come out with full outfits.
They picked out their clothes, everyone staying
within the budget. Lynnie got a pair of black
leggings at P20, a dress top at P30, pumps at P 35
and she put away the rest of her money. She felt
so embarrassed as she walked out of the shop- she
was going to celebrate Christmas in these rags
while her age mates were rocking stilettos, alteezas
and crop tops. She knew they didn’t have much
food at home so she couldn’t ask for more but she
wanted more.
A week later Lynette went to the mall; it helped her
think and relax. She didn’t have nice clothes so she
put on her christmas outfit . As she was strollin
g
through the shops she looked into a window of
one of the most expensive boutiques in the mall
and saw a dress that just called at her. She walked
in and stared at it, it was beautiful. It had litt
le
rimestones and sequins over the beautiful silk
fabric. It was the kind of dress that would turn
heads. It looked made for Lynette. With only P6.50
in her pocket she took the leap and tried it on. It
was perfect and hugged her body just right. She
took it off and took a deep breath and looked at the
price. She became wide eyed as she saw P795. As
she was about to put it back someone walked up to
her, a man and brushed his hand across her behind
and waist. With a smile on his face he said “I could
buy that for you and many more, just let me be your
friend” and with this he slightly tapped Lynette’s
buttocks. One didn’t need a degree to figure out
where this was going. Lynette stared at the
dress and at the man she thought of all the
things she ever wanted but couldn’t get,
now someone was offering her exactly
what she wanted, but at what price. She
took a deep breath and looked at the
dress one last time before she put it
back and said “ke shapo ka yone”
and with that she turned and
walked out proud saying “I will
buy it myself one day”.
Options, Style, Topline and LEGiT; all the
names of shops Lynette Moloi couldn’t afford
to stand in, let alone buy clothes… Being
the daughter of a single mum who worked
as a cleaner and having 5 younger siblings,
seventeen year old Lynette never could have
the finer things in life. One might think that
because she was less privileged, she would be
academically gifted, but she wasn’t. She was
just an average girl living an average life.

BMy friend’s mom passed away, last year, and she’s going through a very difficult time… What can I do to help her through it?
Much respect to you for being an amazing friend and trying to help your friend. The first thing you should always do is reach out; let her know you’re there for her whenever she needs you to talk or hang out. It is also important not to be too intrusive, if she wants some time alone, give her space, making sure to check up on her regularly to make sure she’s doing well.
She might feel very alone during this time, you can try to relate with her on losing loved ones and healing from it if you’ve been through it too, or help her find a way to memorialize her mother. You can plant a tree, make a scrapbook of pictures, write some letters or anything else you feel will provide closure. Ultimately, your friend needs more than anything your time and patience: if she’s falling behind in school try help her out as much as you can, offer to take her out sometimes to take her mind off things, be prepared to listen to whatever she wants to talk about if it will help her mourn, recommend help (from a counsellor, for example) if you think she needs it, and if she rejects your suggestions, give her time, and then try again. The key is to remain a loving friend <3
Everything was great when I started at my new school, but now there is a group of girls who are bullying me. They call me names, laugh at what I wear and always comment on the way I look. What should I do?
Few girls go through school unaffected by one or many incidents with their peers, or even with their own friends… Don’t despair! Find a way to empower yourself :) Firstly, nothing is wrong with the way you or anybody looks or dresses, everyone is beautiful in their own way and this will never depend on anybody’s validation!
A powerful tool to fight bullying is through friends; foster many great friendships, try to spend time with people from different social groups or cliques. Making friends by getting involved in extracurricular activities is also a great confidence booster. Oftentimes when your bullies try to come at you, your friends will come to your defence. If the bullying is really affecting you, talk to a school counsellor, a teacher or relative you trust. This might result in your bullies getting disciplinary action taken against them.
Many girls project their own insecurities onto others by bullying; some try to create a sense of belonging in a clique by participating in this bullying. It is worth a try to calmly ask these girls why they are behaving this way. Whichever way things turn out, it’s obvious you’re a brilliant girl and if you focus on yourself, your studies and your friends your bullies will probably matter less and less until you don’t even notice them!
:) Sometimes we, or our loved ones
experience difficulties
in our lives, and we’re
not sure what to do…
Thank goodness for Big Sister SKY, who has some ideas on
how to deal with life’s ‘bumps’… <3

Beautiful, spirited, young and majorly talented, the
Jonas twins, Alice and Theresa, are sewing their own
fashion scripts. The 16-year-old designers jumped onto
the fashion radar and caught our attention with their
seriously cool designs and love for fashion.
SKY caught up with the twins to find out how they juggle
school and fashion design, and the best advice they’ve
ever been given.
What is the hardest aspect of being so
young in the industry?
Alice: People, in
cluding your parents,
do not take you serio

work
extra hard to
prove beyond doubt that
indeed I am ta

passion for fa

Theresa: Juggling school a

Where have you showcased?
Alice: We’ve showcased at F

Extravaganza.
What have some of your achievements
been?
Theresa: We’ve been able to
successfully showcase at local fa

What’s the greatest lesson you’ve
learnt thus far?

Theresa: To be time conscious.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Body Beautiful
Eating healthily is a great
way to make sure that you
get all the nutrients you
need- that way, you’ll be
fabulously body beautiful,
inside and out! <3
VegetablesVeggies are good for you- there are many ways to prepare them so that you can stomach that broccoli! They are packed full of vitamins, minerals and fibre.
FruitFruits are awesome! They come in a variety of colours- and they’re sweeeet :D Try to eat as many different fruit as possible, so that you get in your vitamins and minerals ;)
GrainsPhaleche, rice, pasta… these are also good for you, in the right proportions. Wholegrains are healthier than processed grains. Here is a hint- if it’s brown, (bread, rice), it’s good! <3
Healthy Protein
A serving of protein is also
part of a healthy diet- think
fish, poultry, beans and a
little beef.
my plate
Extra tips:
• Drink LOTS of water :) If plain water
is too ‘boring’, try drinking it mixed
with juice, or have some tea ;)
• Steer clear of processed foods, as
these aren’t as healthy for you as
fresh, unprocessed ones ;)

Volunteer!
You get to meet different people: When you volunteer with other people, you mingle with those who are from a different background from yours, and that is a definite plus! It’s wonderful how different people can be united by a cause that they believe in :)<3
YOU LEARN NEW SKILLS: You might learn sign language while volunteering with the deaf, learn how to use a new computer programme or even how to manage your time better… New experiences are often enriching and whenever you work, you learn new things :) You’ll also get the chance to have real office experience that will look great on your future CV…
2.
1.
You get to change the world:4. In your own small way, you will be contributing to making
the world a better place! Those are *superhero* vibes :D
I used to believe I was going to be an international dancer like Janet Jackson! I then went to dance at a school I was volunteering at, and a celebrity spotted me and asked to work with me :D Unfortunately I was too young at the time, but that is the whole idea. Be nice and be content with your humble beginnings <3
Doing good doesn’t makeyou a goodie- goodie ;)
3. If you’re looking forward to going to university after high school, your volunteering will look great on your application- it will demonstrate that you take initiative and shows what kind of
person you are, by adding an added dimension- if you volunteer by reading to kids at a library, for example, universities will recognise your passion
for sharing stories :)
* The Botswana Red Cross* The Baylor Children’s Clinic* SOS Botswana* Any other charitable organisations* A place you’d love to work when you’re done with school* And even at church, (you know you can never have too many of em blessings shugga ;) )So be sure ka what you want to do in your life and what difference you can make in another’s life.
Hey, SKY babes :) i used to think of volunteering as a boring and tiring thing to do
because it is a lot of hard work, until I learnt that even volunteering at home gave me a
few points and I finally stoped being yelled at all the time! I even got permission to do and
get away with many things I was deprived of before! Lol! So volunteering outside as well,
can benefit you for what you want to do and become as you grow and mature into your
dreams, I like to think of it as *networking* in a humble and unpretentious way.
As well as the personal, character- building aspect of volunteering, there are many
other benefits to giving up some of your time and energy to helping a cause that you’re
passionate about- read on ;)
Places you can volunteer are:

their world in a positive way! If you want to find out how you can be

How to be a
Offer to babysit- If you feel comfortable around younger siblings and cousins, offer to watch the munchkins while your mom or neighbour relaxes, a bit. There are fun activities you can do- teach them how to play Black Mampatile (AKA hide and seek), or Safe. You can even get them to colour- not on the walls! Or sing and dance :) #FunTimes
If you’re interested in being more involved in your community, you can volunteer at a local NGO- depending on where you are in the BW, there may be an organisation doing work that you admire. Taking a little time out over the weekend, or after homework, in the afternoons, is a great way to be a hero :)
If you know
someone who’s having
difficulty with a subject
that you’re good at, you
could offer to help them out.
Organise study session-nyana,
and share the knowledge! It’s
also a great way to connect
with someone you might not
usually get the chance to talk
to…
Adopt a pet :) If your parents are cool with it, you could adopt a pet from the BSPCA- Pets are awesome companions, and you would make an animal happy by giving them a loving home <3
Dear Rori
Remember how everyone laughs and thinks you are being a diva every time you tell them you are going to be a super star? Well guess what? You will have the last laugh because your star continues to shine in the media industry that you will grow to love so much.
Your friends and family think you watch too much TV. But that’s ok, just tell them that that is the same TV they’ll see your face on one day!
You are deeply saddened by big brother Thapelo’s passing. Having to suddenly live without him is a major blow; it makes you sad and confused and has left you with many unanswered questions. You don’t know how to handle it. But it will all get better with time, I promise. *Big hug* God sees your heart and will heal it.
As a teenager, you think you know it all and that no one understands you. But that’s not true. You resent your sisters for snitching on you ko go mama le papa when you stay out late with your friends, or when you sneak

out to go to that cool party when the ‘rents didn’t give you permission. They’re only trying to protect you Ro, you are their baby sister. You are still too young and rebellious to understand this, but they love you and care about you and one day you will thank them for being so hard on you. Big brother Kux is cool though, he will do anything to make you happy. Treasure all your siblings because they are your anchors; they hold you down like that. Stay close to all of them.
Your deep desire to see and learn about the world will help make the choice to study media in Malaysia easy, like icing on the cake. Mama and papa will miss you but will become the cheerleaders of your dreams. Be sure to dedicate your autobiography to them or mention them in your
thank you speech when you win those media awards.
Be careful of boys Ro. Not all of them will keep their promise to love and never leave you. Don’t give your heart to just any boy because sometimes they can be careless when handling your precious cargo. Also be wary of bad friends, they will try to pull you down and influence you negatively. You are better than that. You are a people’s person, but having lots of friends isn’t always a good idea; just 2 or 3 good friends is better than a 100 bad friends.
And always remember: pray every day, write what’s on your mind, smile genuinely, fall in love, read a good book, travel the world and BE HAPPY!

Gemini SKY babes might feel a little homely, this month. As much as you enjoy a good time, you’ll prefer go chilla ko lapeng, o iketlile, fela. This is a great chance for you to do some soul searching, rediscovering go re o rata eng, le go re o shapo ka eng. *Deep*
Your usual bubbly, outgoing self is feeling a little introverted, and you might find yourself spending a lot more time doing things that make your heart smile :) This is great, because it’s great to spend a little time soul searching, remembering the things that you love and appreciate about life ☺
Adventure! Spending time with your friends is going to be one of THOSE moments, where you get to make some awesome memories ☺ You’ll be listening to new music, watching a different genre of movie or a different flavour of ice cream- lucky for you, you can stay true to your SKY and be on some: ‘shapo ka yone’ if you’re not down with chocolate chips! ;)
You’re in the mood for some fun, Taurus- *fun times* :D You’re already a loving friend, and your carefree vibes will lighten the mood with your friends and family :) Ke wena ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, this month, spreading the happiness <3
Gentle Virgo ☺ You’re often the kind friend who is always offering a kind word- but you’re also not shy to call a spade a spade… This month, you’ll be a lot more aware of the effect that your words have on others, and might find yourself being the one who encourages your little brother or gives your friend some advice <3
Home is where the heart is for you, Capricorn <3 Even though your parents might be caught up, ko tirong, you’ll get the chance to cherish the moments that you do get to spend with them :) Maybe you’ll make them tea in the mornings, ka weekend, or spend more time with your siblings- enjoy it!
This is your moment, Cancer! You’ve found a new passion- netball, a new musician, a school subject or author- and it’s making you soooo happy! This makes it easier to relate with your friends and family, because you totes understand how they could be interested in that random animated series, now!
For the next few weeks, you’re going to LOVE spending time with the girls, chatting, hanging out and bonding *Awesome* Do look out for moments when you feel like the crowd wants to pull you along into a wave of what they want… You’re one of them strong young women, so you’ll know exactly when to say ‘sure!’ and when to say ‘ke shapo’, and walk away <3
You’re feeling super ambitious, girl- go for it! You’re on a mission to ace that test, win that chess tournament AND keep your room looking bawss :D This surge of energy is awesome, and you’ll get to share it with those you love <3
