What is Skype for Business?
Skype for Business, formerly known as Microsoft Lync Server, is a unified communications platform that integrates common channels of business communication including instant messaging, Voice Call, Video Calls, file transfer, Web conferencing, voice mail and email.

Overview
Skype for Business is available on any campus computer with Office 2013.
Contact the Service Desk (278-7337, [email protected]) if you would like to upgrade.
Launch the “Lync” client and log in with your @csus.edu email.

The Possibilities
Skype for Business is a flexible tool that facilitates communication within the campus community.
The tool may provide us the ability to communicate with all Skype users in the future (e.g., those outside of campus)
Skype for Business may also allow direct calls to phone lines from your computer.
