SPORTS REPORT2ol 5 2ol 6 Our college took part in most of the Inter-Collegiate tournament conducted by Goa University Sports Section, like Badminton (men & women), Table-Tennis (men), Chess (men & women),Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Football (men & women), Swimming, Athletics (men & women),Kabaddi, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket (men & women), Baseball and Best Physique, etc.
Mr. Amulya Pandrekar played in U-23 and Goa Ranaji Cricket team and Mr. Prathamesh Gawas in U-23 C.K. Nayudu Trophy tournament conducted by BCCI.
Rakshanda Pilankar represented Goa state team in senior women T20 Super League tournament held at Guntur, organized by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
International Yoga day was celebrated in college on 21* June, 2015.
A 15 days coaching and learning camp was conducted in following discipline 1. Badminton (men & women) 2. Table-Tennis (men &women)3. Chess (men & women)
about 41 students participated in the same.
Our college participated in Inter-Collegiate Football (men) tournament organized by S.S. Dempo Collegeand reached upto semi-finals Akshay Dhabolkar was given Best Player Award by the Organizers. In Table-Tennis (men) our college made it till quarter finals.
In Powerlifting Championship Mr. Pranay Naik of S.Y.B.C.A. got Bronze medal in upto 84 kg. category.
In Weightlifting championship, Mr. Siddesh Palkar of S.Y.B.C.A., Mr. Pranay Naik of 5.Y.B.C.A., Mr. Govind Halankar of T.Y.B.Com. and Mr. Aniket Goltekar of T.Y.B.Com. got Bronze medal each in upto 62 kg, upto 77 kg., upto 105 kg. and above 105 kg. weight category.
In football men college team made it upto semifinals and women team reached upto pre-quarters. A special 20 days coaching camp was conducted for our college women football team.
In Athletics Inter-Collegiate championship our college men 4 x 100 mtrs. Relay team consisting of Mr. Dinesh Morajkar, Mr. Akshay Dhabolkar, Mr. Rama Parsekar, Mr. Anup Gadekar created a new University Meet record of 44.0 seconds, breaking our own record set last year of 45.01 seconds.
Mr. Dinesh Morajkar of F.Y.B.Com. got Gold Medal in 100 mtrs. Run and was judged fastest Man of Goa University with timing of 10.84 seconds rounded to 11.00 seconds.
in women section Miss Rima Gadekar of S.Y.B.A. and Miss Arsela Parsekar of F.Y.8.cOM. won Gold and Bronze medal respectively.
In group/team marching our college team got 3 place. Mr. Dinesh Morajkar, Miss Rima Gadekar and Mr. Akshay Dabholkar won the All Goa Tie-breaker Championship organized by GVM's College, Ponda.
Our college football (men) team took part in A.C. Memorial football tournament organized by Herald Group and played upto quarter finals.
Cricket (women) team played quarter finals and cricket (men) team were at Runners-up position.Inter-University particigation From our college following students participated at various Inter-University tournaments

CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
REPORT OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2015-16
The cultural association aims towards the overall development of students through its various
activities as a step towards the development of a cultured society.
The cultural association in association with the Students Welfare Committee organized an inter-
class patriotic singing competition on 14h August 2015.
The association organized a 6- day Theatre Workshop from 20h to 25th July 2015 with an aim
to impart and develop various skills necessary in theatre and acting. 19 students actively
participated in this workshop. A well-known theatre artist, Mr. Deepak Amonkar was the
resource person for the workshop.
The association organized a 3-day Rangoli Workshop in September 2015. 20 students learned
and fine tuned their rangoli skills under the guidance of the resource person Mr. Mukund
Malgaonkar.
The association organized an inter class Ghumat Aarti competition on 4th September 2015. 11
an d classes participated in this competition. TYBCA secured the 1st place while SYBCOM.
TY BA secured the 2"d and the 3rd places, respectively.
The cultural association has been successfully organizing the All Goa intercollegiate Ghumat
Aarti Competition for the past 7 years. The 8h edition of the Competition was held on 11h
September, 2015. The competition received tremendous response with a total of 12 colleges
participating in the competition.
The Goa college of Music emerged as the Winners, while the Sridora Caculo College, Mapusa
and Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao secured the second and the
third places respectivcly.
The college secured the 2nd runner up positions in the intercollegiate Ghumat Aarti competition
organized by Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao, on 12h September ar's C

2015 and Rotaract Club of Ponda, on 14th September 2015.

The college team was invited for a recording of a ghumat aarti performance by the 98.3 FM radio
mirchi radio channel on 15th September 2015 in their studio.
The college team won the CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE NUKKAD NATAK-2 streetplay
competition organized by Rotaract Club of Panjim on 12th September 2015.
In the XIV state youth festival, 2015 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs,
Government of Goa on 28th and 29th of November 2015 at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhalim Goa,
the college team won the prizes in the following events at the North Goa level:

At the state level, in the XIV state youth festival, 2015 our college won the following prizes
