Right Turn Only Reminder!
The Safety Ministry would like to remind everyone of the importance to make a right turn only out of the church parking lot after Mass. Due to traffic congestion while entering and exiting the parking lot, it is imperative for our parishioners to make a right turn only when leaving Mass.
For those parishioners who are exiting the west parking lot (behind the Parish Center), please do not make a U-turn in front of the church. This only compounds an already dangerous situation. To ensure the safety of our parish community and those around us, the Safety Ministry appreciates your cooperation

Tips on Converting Others to Catholicism
Have you ever wanted to bring the Catholic faith to others, but you either fail miserably and now
they hate you, or you don't even know how to approach them? Ben Albanese and Catholic NC
TV are here to help! As a convert to Catholicism himself, Ben talks about how you should
convert with love, prayer, and by teaching the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
that the Catholic Church as a whole teaches.

Baby Blanket Blessing
The St. Ann Safety Committee is looking for assistance from any parishioners who are willing to render medical assistance on campus in the event of an illness or medical emergency during mass or other church function. Specifically, we are looking for doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMTs. We recently purchased & installed 4 new First Aid Kits, an automatic BP machine and new pads for the AEDs, and we are finalizing the development of a multi-trauma medical bag. If you are willing to help with this effort, please contact Larry Such, the Fire/EMS committee member, by email at [email protected] or by phone at (919)320-5991. He will collect general information including names, medical experience & contact information. In the near future, a brief orientation will be held to discuss and plan the most efficient use of our resources in the event of a medical emergency.
In an attempt to be proactive, and be better prepared, we encourage any parishioners that have experience in the medical field, to notify an usher of your willingness to be a “medical resource” in the event someone becomes ill or needs medical attention during a mass. Your willingness to provide immediate assistance prior to the arrival of EMS would be greatly appreciated. You might just save someone’s life!
Safety Ministry Updates
Baby blankets lovingly made by the ladies of the By Our Hands ministry and other members of the parish for the clients of In His Hands Pregnancy Center, Birth Choice and Catholic Charities will be blessed after the 12:10 pm Mass on Wednesday, February 20th. If you have blankets you would like to donate, please send them to the Church Office before the Blessing or contact Eleanor McMurray at 919-585-2072 for more information.

Church Video Cameras:Nick Petro has been working on live-streaming Mass on our Facebook page and on Youtube. Nick has checked our church video and audio connections, downloaded new software, installed a new video monitor and taught himself how to operate our robotic cameras, synchronize the audio and video feeds, transmit “live” to the Parish center and post videos “live” on Facebook. If you go to our Facebook page you can view a number of Masses and a recent event that drew an amazing number of people to Saint Ann’s.
Mr Rafael Diaz is a noted bilingual Catholic preacher and apologist. He was here this past week. He addressed our confirmation class last Sunday and this past Monday he had a session in Spanish. Nick, along with Mr Daniel Rojas, “posted” or broadcast the event “live”.
Just to show you the impact of Facebook just look at some of the data for this one event:
Church Attendance: approximately 375
250 The number of New followers on our Facebook site, i.e., people who viewed our video and signed up to receive future updates from our Facebook Page.
989 The number of people who viewed the live video for an extended time period.
18,777 Post engagements, i.e., more than 18,000 viewers not only watched but were actively engaged and took action such as making a “comment” or clicking that they “liked” the post.
31,545. Facebook Viewers. Yes an astonishing 31,545 people worldwide actually viewed the posted video from places such as the USA, Greece, Colombia, Venezuela,Honduras, Nicaragua, etc.
59,785 the number of people who were “reached” by the video, in other words, the video was posted to their latest news feed so that the video post is there for them to view at their convenience when they log in to Facebook.
So we had more than 32,000 people “in church” this past week. Amazing! Thank you Nick. I’m wondering if Nick can figure out a way to get our new Facebook friends to contribute to the BAA.
