EASTWYCKS U M M I T A T
Kelly Hotaling Community Manager
October is here and the cooler weather and beautiful colored leaves are here again! Please take time to look over the October calendar as soon as you can so that you can take advantage of the
scheduled activities this month. You will notice that every social event has been modified for your safety and we are limiting the occupancy of each gathering. Please remember that our community does require wearing a mask or face covering upon entering the resident buildings and Clubhouse.
October is Fire Prevention month and we will be having fire drills at each building during October. It is very important that you exit the building every time that the fire alarms sound. Please don’t ever assume that the fire alarm is merely a fire drill. Residents do need to assume that the elevators don’t work in an actual fire, so those who are able to use the stairs to exit the building should do so. Residents with mobility challenges should wait for assistance in the nearest stairwell.
We are trying a new Wednesday happening this month! Summit Social Hour will be in the Great Room every Wednesday at 4 pm. Our residents may sign up for two socials at a time. It is important that we are able to provide time for you to visit safely and that is why we are hosting the social hour every week.
There are two time slots for grocery shopping on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please call to reserve a spot on the bus. Also, we have scheduled two trips to the Windy Hill Apple Orchard so that we can accommodate transportation with social distancing on each trip. Our Tuesday Treats this month will require you to RSVP as we have lined up some special Autumn treats and will need to know how many will be coming to the Clubhouse for each one.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide safe ways for our community to stay engaged and connected.
