Children started project of cleanliness and hygienic living in the colony of the migrant
people that live around the school. . These areas have no proper sanitation or water
supply as they are temporary houses. The residents of this colony are careless about
the area they live in & we also found that due to the rains the area had deteriorated into
a stinky slum.
• Children felt the need of cleaning the colony as they know the importance of cleanliness in their lives as they have learnt in school and practiced at home.
• Children organized a rally by making charts to make people aware about the hygienic living. They went to the people and spoke to them about the reason of their coming and importance of cleanliness .•Students and Teachers collected the money for the required things.
After seeing the whole picture of the colony they started their work
Girls cleaned their houses & chulahas.
Students told them about the importance of cleanliness & need of
coverage of food.
Students took initiative to clean their all around
Students cleaned their houses by cutting the extra grass& leaves
which were infected by insects.
Students helped the children to understand about the
importance of washing hands before meal.
Students brushed their teeth, washed their bodies with sevlon
soaps, medikar in their hair, cleaned their ears with cotton buds ..
Combed their head, cut their nails. Gave them clean clothes
which students brought them from their homes ..
Students put to use what they learnt in school - Students took
charge and cleaned the children of the Juggi
Students also gave them chappals, clothes and brushes from the
money they had collected.
Students gave them clean clothes ,clean their wounds..
Students cleaned their bath areas where they put the sand to soak the water &
DDT to kill the mosquitoes &flies also gave them savlon soaps & Brushes..
Students made a pact with the villagers to come and help them
keep the area hygienic and inform the about health issues. While
the villagers took a pledge to keep the area clean and signed the
document created by the students.
