Disconnectbattery:Ifadevicedoesnotrespondorpoweronduringtestingorafterrepair,disconnectthebatteryofthedevice.Thiswillforcethedeviceoffandshouldresolvethenoresponseissue.Ifthedeviceisnotabletobepoweredoffpriortorepairusingthestandardbuttonmethod,thebatterymayalsobedisconnectedtopowerthedeviceoff.

Partstesting:Allpartsshouldbetestedpriortofullinstall.Testingthepartwillhelptoavoiddelayingtherepairandtoidentifythatthepartisfullyfunctioning.Ifthepartisfullyfunctioningduringtestingbutnotaftercompleteinstall,itismostlikelythatthepartwasdamagedduringinstall.Ifapartpresentsanissue,beforemarkingasdefectivepoweroffthedeviceordisconnectbattery.Reconnectthepartandandbatteryandre-test.Themajorityofpartissuesarecausedbyimproperconnectiontothelogicboard.
Crosscheckingparts:Ifapartshowsissuesduringtestingandmultipleconnectionattemptshavealreadybeenmade,testasecondparttocrosscheckfunctionality.Ifthesameissueresultsonthesecondscreen,theissueismostlikelybeingcausedbythelogicboard.ContactWerxTechniciansforfurthertroubleshooting.

TestingPartsPriortoFullInstall
Alignmentissues:Partsthatreceivedataviacontactpointssuchastheearpiecespeakerandloudspeakermaynotfunctionifnotproperlyalignedduringinstall.Alwayscheckalignmentandcontactswhenexperiencingissueswiththeseparts.Checkbracketsthatholdthesepartsinplaceandverifythattheyarenotsittingcrookedafterinstall.Camerasandsensorssuchastheproximityandambientlightsensorfunctionviaclearopeningsinscreenorframe.Ifthesepartsarenotalignedproperlyafterinstall,theymaynotfunctioncorrectly.Checkalignmentofthesepartspriortoreplacement.Oncecorrectalignmentisverifiedandmalfunctionstillresults,testanewparttocrosscheck.
