R5 Conference
Texas State University IEEE student chapter competed in the robotics, circuit design and ethics competitions this past April in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The competition has spurred the interest of future participants and returning long standing members from the work that went into last year’s competition as well as from the learning experiences gained.
Expenditures from the Phase I funding will mostly be used on ordering parts for the Robotics team.

Best Robotics
Students from the IEEE student branch are volunteering their time to go to various local
schools and mentor the students, and offer their assistance in preparation for the event. The IEEE would like to pay for food and reimbursement for mileage in order to encourage
participation and offer some support for our volunteers. Our hope is to expand First Robotics as well as
continue to support the BEST Robotics organization.

Social Events By utilizing social events, the number of members
interested in participating in volunteer opportunities has increased.

Marketing Materials
• As Texas State’s IEEE chapter grows we want to continue growing and reach out to those that may have an interest in the organization.
• This may be accomplished in multiple ways such as fliers, advertisements, and operating a booth in the quad to recruit and open the opportunity to students who would otherwise not know of IEEE.
Requesting: $100
