Thank you for your interest in Chico Cheer All Stars Half Year Teams for November – March.
We are a cheerleading family where everyone is welcome! No experience is needed to be a part of the organization.
We offer teams for all ages and abilities. We are excited to be growing each season as we enter our 14th year!
Tiffany Hayes comes from a strong competitive cheer background with over 20 years of experience in the All Star
industry, including her time spent as an athlete with the Bullets, as well as coaching, Chico High School (4 years)
and California State University (3 years). Tiffany started Chico Cheer in May of 2006, the program has grown from
1 small senior team to several teams of various levels, and for the 5th YEAR we are offering Half Year All Star
Prep Teams!
All Star Prep Teams (also known as Half Year or PREP TEAM) are great entry level teams! These teams are for
those interested in a shorter time commitment but want their child to experience this great sport. Prep Teams
compete in separate divisions at competitions. The division is for teams that spend less hours in the gym than full
year teams. It gives anyone the opportunity to try All Star cheerleading and performing a professionally
choreographed routine on a large stage without committing to a full year season. At Chico Cheer we believe
everyone should get to experience the adrenaline, confidence, and training All Star cheerleading has to offer.
With Half Year or All Star Prep Teams you have so many opportunities to try All Star Cheer with:
Lower costs
Less commitment time
Local travel only
And you can cheer for your rec. or high school cheer team AND do All Star Prep,
Or you can play another sport AND still do All Star Prep!
Our staff has created an atmosphere to promote a positive athletic environment where cheerleaders not only gain
confidence and progress in the sport, they become well rounded individuals. Being a member of our gym involves a
family commitment, building emotional wellness, confidence, strong work ethic and athleticism. With these goals in
mind we hope Chico Cheer staff will have the opportunity to provide your athlete and family with the safest and
most rewarding All Star experience possible. We look forward to you having the opportunity to experience Northern
CA's BEST cheerleading program!

7. Try ALL STARS for just 6 months, the experience is priceless...and we know you will love it as much as we
do!
If you need assistance or answers to anything, please contact us!
Attitude is everything. If an athlete has a foul attitude, we will place him/her to a non-competitive program,
such as a class, until improvements are made. Until then, a replacement will be put in position.
Do not call or text the staff. The gym is primary contact for all questions or concerns.
Do not bring items of value to the gym. (IPOD, jewelry, IPHONE etc...) We are not responsible for lost or
stolen items.
No one is allowed to yell onto the floor or make contact with our athletes during practice.
You cannot create or sell your own Chico Cheer clothing. Our name and logo is copyrighted.
The only people allowed on the floor are staff members and athletes that are on the team rosters. Parents,
friends, relatives and siblings must remain in the viewing area.
Anyone threatening to quit will be asked to leave immediately. No refund will be given.
Your opinion regarding practice and routine construction does not count. The staff makes all the decisions.
It is the parent's responsibility to stay informed. Check your email and website regularly. If you aren't
receiving emails, contact the Gym Director ASAP. Every month, you should receive a minimum of one
email.
Withholding your child from practice cannot be used as a form of discipline. This is unfair to the rest of the
team.
Do not post negative comments, routines or music on message boards, You Tube, Facebook or any website.
Always exemplify good sportsmanship, positive conduct and professionalism at all competitions and
practices. No profanity or rude language.
Remove all piercings. This is not negotiable. This is a safety issue!
If you have questions, please us the following chain of command:
Front Desk Team Coach Director/Owner

Absences: Attendance is crucial to team success. An absence must be called in prior to the
missed practice by an adult. No practice can be missed the weeks prior to competition. No
competition/performance event can be missed for any reason or athletes will be removed
from the team. All athletes are allotted 3 unexcused absences per season prior to removal from
team.
Excused Absences: Unexcused Absences:
Illness/Injury (encouraged to watch practice)School Dance
School function that affects grade Traffic
Death in the family Too much homework
Injuries: If an injury should occur, it is the responsibility of the parent to seek professional help.
Each athlete must have his/her own medical insurance. After seeing a physician, please provide
Chico Cheer with an evaluation of the athlete's injury/status. If an injury prevents attendance of
more than one practice then a doctor’s release is required prior to athlete’s return.
Competitions: During the competition season, cheerleaders will be asked to travel within
Northern CA. Transportation to all local competitions is the responsibility of each team member
and his/her family. We will make every effort to provide information in a timely manner. All
Team members will wear Chico Cheer clothing to each function. All team members follow
Travel Regulations.
IF a competition is cancelled or rescheduled, Chico Cheer All Stars will not be responsible for
reimbursement for any reason. NO COMPETITION OR TEAM EVENT CAN BE MISSED -
MISSED EVENTS WILL RESULT IN ATHLETE REMOVAL FROM TEAM!

conditions. Please report any lost damaged uniform items to your coach. The cost of
replacements will be the responsibility of the cheerleader.
Discipline: If any of the above rules are compromised, the following actions will occur:
1st Violation: A meeting with the athlete defining the problem.
2nd Violation: A meeting with the athlete & the parent(s).
3rd Violation: The athlete may be removed from the team or entire program.
4
Communication: As a parent, you will receive information in several ways, such as, monthly calendars,
text alerts, Facebook page, and emails from your coach or gym director. Check
www.ChicoCheerAllStars.com for new updates as well.
Fees: A schedule of payments is listed in this handbook. All monthly fees are due by the first practice of
the month. Please make all payments on the PARENT PORTAL. A late fee of $25 will be assessed for
all payments made after the due date. Athletes will also be withheld from participating until payment is
made. Please note payments are due even in the absence of an athlete.
Parents and responsible adults will be asked to sign a financial contract. Each person signing the contract
will be responsible for keeping his/her child's account current. Monthly Tuition cannot be pro-rated
for any reason. Tuition and uniform fees are all non-refundable, as are any tax related sponsorships
made to Chico Cheer All Stars.
Fundraising: Fundraising is available. A different fundraiser will be presented every month. Your
fundraising profits will be directly posted to your account. This involves extra work outside of cheer.
However, we have seen people pay for their whole year through fundraising! Information is posted on the
monthly calendar and sent home.
Any SURPLUS of credits from FUNDRAISERS can be applied towards Chico Cheer All Stars, classes,
and teams. Refund checks will not be issued in the event of a surplus.
Practices: Please note all practices are closed, excluding the last 30 minutes when parents/family/friends
are welcome to view the progress of their athletes and team. There is a viewing area designated for all
parents/friends. Parents/friends are asked to stay in that designated area and not come into the training
area for any reason. We want your child to get the most out of every practice. In order for this to happen,
we need their full attention. If there are distractions, the whole team is affected and it may also become a
safety issue.
If a parent or anyone is observed speaking negatively about a team, coach, parent, or cheerleader,
he/she will be talked to and/or asked to leave. If this kind of behavior continues to be an issue, the child
will have to be removed from the team. We will not tolerate this type of conduct. IF a parent verbally
assaults or threatens an athlete, coach or parent, the family will be dismissed from the program.
Parental Support: Your dedication and support is just important to us as your child's! Parents are
encouraged to show support by wearing Chico Cheer All Stars clothing to competitions. We encourage all
parents to sit together and support all CCAS teams. Showing respect for the coaching staff, other teams
and hosting organizations is expected, as you are there representing Chico Cheer All Stars and your child.

In this digital age, the heart and soul of all-star cheerleading and competition tumbling goes far beyond the mat and the gym. It is
in the hands and computers/smart phones of all of us. As many of us are connected via social media and message boards, we have
a few “Rules of the Road” as it relates to your responsibilities as a Chico Cheer Athlete/Parent/Family and online behavior. Chico Cheer, as a brand and our signature logo is easily identified in the all-star world and we love the passion that it brings to
our athletes and families. At Chico Cheer we believe in open, honest communication and you are encouraged to tell the world
about your gym and share your passion. Whatever method you choose to do so by participating in a blog, online social network
(such as Twitter, Facebook) or any other form of online publishing (such as message boards like “Fierce Board”) or discussion is
completely up to you.
However, these new ways of communication are changing the way we talk to each other and even how we navigate with our
fellow athletes, competitors, target audiences of new cheerleaders and partner gyms, even cheer organizations. In order to avoid
any problems or misunderstandings, we have come up with a few guidelines to provide helpful and practical advice for you.
Policies & Procedures: 1) Only a very select few people at the gym are considered an “Official Spokesperson” or representative for Chico Cheer. Therefore when
writing or posting an opinion or statement regarding Chico Cheer you must make clear that you are speaking for yourself and not for the gym.
2) You are personally and legally responsible for the content you publish on social media (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other Social Media Applications) blogs, message boards such as “Fierce Board,” or any other form of user-generated media. Please remember that the
internet never forgets. This means everything you publish will be visible to the world for a very, very long time, regardless of whether you
“delete” it. (Commonly referred to as a “Digital Footprint”) We strongly recommend that athletes and parents always exercise the utmost caution when participating in any form of social media or online communication.
3) We respect the protection under the First Amendment, however in accordance with the USASF Image Policy, Chico Cheer reserves the right
to ask athletes, parents, family members to delete, remove or make “private” any content published in a public forum meant to embarrass, threaten, harass, bully, degrade or make forcibly uncomfortable any team, coach, athlete, parent, group of individuals or any other special interest
regardless of gym or affiliation. This is up to and including tweets, so-called “sub-tweets,” videos, photos, shared photos, content, links to stories
from other content sources, private or personal photos, advertisements, or any other content including overt profanity that has the ability to offend or harass. Also included is content (whether posted or linked) that is overtly sexual, inappropriate (by normal standards), obscene or sexually
explicit. Any content that contains illegal or illicit content (such as drugs, drug references and content related to drug usage) will also be asked to
be removed. We also must mention any content that is proven to be untrue, false, knowingly false, inflammatory or libelous will also not be tolerated. Failure to adhere to these policies and the request to do so by Chico Cheer will possibly result in removal from the team/gym and will
not be entitled to any refund or restitution of any kind.
4) All videos, photos, audio recordings that have been labeled “sensitive” or “private” such as new music, team practice, uniform designs or concepts and other “intellectual capital” will not be shared nor discussed in social media or via text messaging or electronic dissemination at any
time. Any Athlete or Parent who shares or posts without permission any private or discretionary details about the gym or gym business will face
disciplinary action up to and possibly including removal from team/gym and will not be entitled to any refund or restitution of any kind. 5) In addition, you CANNOT use the Chico Cheer name or any variation of our name in your email address or social media/message board
username. If you already use our name in an email address or username, it must be changed NOW.
6) We discourage you/ your Athlete/ your Parent/ your Family to try and "friend or follow" Chico Cheer employees/ staff/ coaches on social media (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other Social Media Applications). Please be thoughtful of their privacy and personal lives
outside of the gym.
7) remember that you/your Athlete/ your Parent/ your Family represent Chico Cheer at all times, even when not in the gym or competition venue. Be thoughtful of your behavior when you have on a Chico Cheer T-shirt, backpack, warm up or decal on your car. Those same rules apply when
you are online as a member of Chico Cheer.
One more thing; we realize Social Media is an exciting new frontier for our athletes, but being “Socially Aware” makes it safer and easier when
cheerleading is over and they move on into the real world to college and job hunting. In general, just use your best judgment when engaging on
social media. Please remember that anything you ever say is a direct reflection on this organization. Any athlete or parent/guardian caught sending/posting rude or inappropriate online messages you will be subject to immediate removal from the Chico Cheer program.
