The makers of Kedarnath were extremely sensitive duringthe shoot of the film and took extra measures to ensure thepilgrims weren't disturbed while filming the movie.

Kedarnath is shot in the real locations of the Uttarakhand. Themakers offer a virtual tour of the holy place as they shot the filmso close to reality in the temple.

Makers have been extremely sensitive towards the temple area, vicinity of the temple as well as the devotees during the shoot.Keeping in mind the interests of the pilgrims, the makers used tokeep the shooting time cordial for the travelers to pass throughand not bother them.

Having shot against the backdrop of the real locations inKedarnath, the makers have captured the surrounding so wellthat it will give enough of glimpses and a detailed trip for a pil-grimage.

While the teaser set the mood for the romantic tale basedamidst the tragic floods of Uttarakhand, the first song NamoNamo took the audience on a pilgrimage trip to the holy temple.

Kedarnath is an eternal love story set in the backdrop of theflash floods that wrecked the temple town in the June of 2013. Itis a potent combination of love and religion, passion and spiritu-ality. The floods that took the lives of over a hundred thousandpeople is a powerful backdrop for this epic love story.

With the winter already here, paranthahas become everybody’s comfort food.Nothing can beat maa ke hath ke

garma garam paranthe with butter over it.But with homemade parathas comes thedilemma whether to pan fry them with butteror ghee?

People have their preferences but if you are ahealth conscious and want to know which ishealthier, read this.

GheeAfter being labelled as a culprit for weight-

gain and termed unhealthy for years, ghee hasfinally made a comeback in the Indian kitchen.Ghee helps to keep your gut healthy, has goodfats and is great for skin. Ghee can also helpincrease good cholesterol and lower the badcholesterol.

ButterThe traditional butter made by churning

milk cream is light and healthy. But the butterthat you get in markets nowadays is an emul-sion of milk fat in water with milk protein asan emulsifying agent. This butter is processedand has added salt.

Nutritional comparisonGhee is unprocessed fat and contains omega

3 fatty acid along with vitamin A. While forti-fied butter may only contain vitamin A.

Ghee has 900 Kcal per 100 grams of servingalong with no trans-fat and 60 per cent satu-rated fats. While butter has 717 Kcal per 100grams of servings along with 3 grams of trans-fat and 51 per cent saturated fats.

Which is better?Ghee is used to fry pooris, paranthas and

make halwa. Using ghee for frying paranthasis a better option because ghee has a highersmoking point, which makes it a better choiceas compared to butter for frying paranthas.

TipWhen buying ghee, make sure the label does-

n’t read ‘vegetable ghee’. Vegetable ghee is nottraditional ghee and does not offer manyhealth benefits.

How to storeHomemade ghee can be stored at room tem-

perature for three months in an airtight con-tainer and away from direct sunlight.

Butter is usually stored in a refrigerator dur-ing most parts of the year. Storing it in thefridge is the right way to increase its shelf life.

Should you fry your paranthas in butter or ghee? Beat bad hair days with simple tips

With the winter season knocking atthe door, there's an excitement tobring out the warm jackets and cosy

hoodies. But then there's also some concernabout dry hair and dandruff problems.

Stopy worrying and follow some easy tipsto make your hair look good, suggests SamayDutta, Director - NOIR, the Luxury BlowBar and Jagadeesh. P, Trainer, Paul MitchellIndia.

- Take a hot oil massage: A hot oil massageonce a week from coconut or almond oil willbe a breather for the scalp. This will help youto prevent a dry and flaky scalp and improveyour blood circulation resulting into nourish-ing hair this winter.

- Trimming: Trimming is essential for anynaturalist regardless of the weather, but

bears particular importance in winter sea-son. Cool air can cause hair to become dryand brittle which can lead to breakage andsplit ends. Trimming ends regularly will stophair from breaking.

- Invest in a good, deep conditioner: As weall know, conditioning is necessary aftershampooing. During winter, your focusshould be on deep conditioners. This will bea magic formula to keep your scalp awayfrom dryness.

- DIY Hair Mask: Just like the differenttypes of masks we use on our skin, hairmasks have become one of the hottest beau-ty trends right now. Cold weather is thecause for dry scalp and one should keep ithydrated. Simple routine of weekly deep con-ditioning treatment at home for 15 minutespenetrates your hair with all the naturalflowing oils.

- Don't overwash your hair: Stay away fromwashing your hair everyday in winter.Everyday washing will soak the hair's natu-ral oil and make your hair look dull, unhealthy and without any moist. Wash yourhair twice a week for frizz-free hair.

- Protective styling: Cover up your hair asmuch as possible during colder months.Tucking your hair away will eliminate dam-age and dryness caused by the weather.Styles such as buns, wigs, weaves and headscarves should be your best friend this sea-son. Make sure hair is hydrated and condi-tioned before tucking it away.
