Facilities : Demo Room of Distribution equipment
CENPEID has a huge Display Room which showcases various tools / equipments / materials used in our business.
Some “Live Models” for simulation of particular concepts are also kept here.
Facilities : Real life exposure through workshops & sites
While quality slide presentation, vetted through system of checks & controls, are used invariable for all types of training, more emphasis is given on practical training for technical themes, and especially for non-officers cadre. Trainees are taught through: Transformer workshops, Meter Lab, Metering R&D centre, AMRI diagnostic & analysis Centre, Call Centre, Solar plant, SCADA Centre, GIS Development & Analysis Centre, Fault Locating Vans, etc.
Facilities : Hands on Technical Training
The intent of “Hands on Technical Training Center (HOTT)” is to build all electric equipments, accessories used in distribution in such a way that Non-Officers trainees (Supervisors & Technicians / workmen) have a close look & hands-on experience at ground level for all activities of its erection, operations, maintenance services etc. Since the supervisor & workmen are less qualified, core courses have been developed in local Hindi language also. In view of low level of reading ability visual aids have been developed to make key concepts easily understandable, e.g. • Operation of switch gears, • Connections in Feeder & Service pillar, • Standard procedure of Earthing, • Transformer maintenance, • Use of testing instruments, • HV LV overhead and underground system including
Cable Jointing, and • Last but not the least, all Safety procedures while
working.
