High wind damage...This rural, (East Old Highway 64 near the golf course), trailer

home owned by Cody and Jess Wilson was totaled last Saturdaywith winds reaching 70 M.P.H. in gusts. Luckily, the Wilsonswere not at home at the time of the incident.

BY C.F. DAVIDNico Collins, 21, appeared on

Thursday before Associate Dis-trict Judge Ron Kincannon.Collins was the driver of a FordRanger pickup that left the sceneof one accident on the Court-house Square only to be involvedin a much more serious accidenton East Main, just across the citylimit line. Collins was chargedwith two charges of DUI, twocharges of TOC liquor, recklessdriving, two charges of noseatbelt, failure to remain at thescene of an accident, drivingwrong way on a one-way street, driving on the wrong side of theroadway, and held on a bond of$8,500. Since Collins was in-volved in two separate accidentsin two separate geographic lo-cations, one within the city, onejust outside, some charges weredoubled.

In the court appearance,Kincannon raised the bond fromthe original $7,500 to $8,500, andwarned Collins who had askedfor a court-appointed attorneythat should he make bail, thestate would assume that he couldalso afford an attorney and va-cate the request for an appointedattorney.

Since Collins had no job,Kincannon had already waivedthe usual $40 fee for an appli-cation for the court-appointedlawyer.

“Right now, you need a law-yer more than you need to beout of jail,” Kincannon stressed.

Collins will next appear onTuesday, April 26.

OTHER COURTPROCEEDINGS

The D9.2 wind turbine is thelatest refinement of the provenDeWind 2 MW wind turbinetechnology, dating back to 2002when the first DeWind 2 MWwind turbines entered commer-cial operation. The grid-friendlydesign of the D9.2 uniquely pro-vides grid-support capability toall grid applications and is well-suited to the Oklahoma Pan-handle setting. Previously,DeWind turbines have been in-stalled in environments rangingfrom sea level to high elevationsin excess of 14,000 ft., and inclimates from desert heat to ex-treme cold. Currently, DeWind2 MW turbines are installed andoperating in numerous locationsin Europe, Asia, South Americaand the US.

About DeWind Co:DeWind Co designs, producesand sells DeWind series windenergy turbines, including the 2megawatt (MW) D9.2 modelavailable in 60 Hz configuration, and the 2 MW D9.1 model in50 Hz configuration. DeWind 2MW D8 wind turbines havebeen operating since 2002 inEurope, and the 2 MW D9.2predecessor turbine, the D8.2,has been operating since 2007in Europe, South America andthe US. The D9.2 utilizes ad-vance WinDrive(R) hydrody-namic torque converter devel-oped by Voith AG in combina-tion with a fixed speed synchro-nous AC generator with highvoltage output that can be con-nected directly to the grid with-out the use of power conversionelectronics. DeWind D9.2 windturbines are currently being as-sembled at TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company(TWMC) in Round Rock,Texas. For more information, visit www.dewindco.com
