WHAT A TEACHER CAN DO?WHAT A TEACHER CAN DO?WHAT A TEACHER CAN DO?WHAT A TEACHER CAN DO?
Every year the 5th September reminds us that there is a
special day for the most special people on this planet …
teachers! If teachers were not there, this world could never
have been so beautiful and great. Imagine a world without
School! The sort of people that will pop up in your
imagination will be …. primitive, savage, uncivilized,
knowing no moral values, and having no God at all. That is why a Messenger of God –
Baha’u’llah – has said: “Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable
value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures”. THIS IS WHERE
THE ROLE OF A TEACHER BECOMES IMPORTANT. A teacher does not – and
cannot – put any special quality inside a child. We cannot create anything new – this is
beyond our capacity. We only can make new combinations and bring out new
appearances out of the elements that God has kept at our disposal.
A teacher can help in bringing out the best qualities and talents already inherent
in the child. So how can a teacher do so? And how can one know what is quality and
what is not a quality? We are living in an age when moral values have become too
messy and complicated. One man’s meat is another man’s poison! Some say THIS is
right … others say, no THAT is right.
As long as we will be wandering in the jungle of our own vain imaginations, our own set
standards, there can be no escape from misconceptions. But the moment we realize
that all knowledge comes from God and He is the only Source, all problems shatter. A
teacher can be a Hindu, a Moslem, a Christian, a Baha’i, a Jain, a Buddhist or say
whatever else, but he or she must have one thing in common – GOD! And from there
the true education starts. Religions can vary in their external principles but there is one
common teaching found in all of them. We call it GOLDEN RULE. This Golden Rule
says: Do not do unto your brother what you would not like to be done unto
yourself. TEACH THIS VERY THING TO ALL CHILDREN. Encourage them to be
human and kind and considerate towards all. Let them understand that however
diversified the humans may be, they all have the same feelings of love and compassion.
Let them immerse in this ocean-depth of universal love and all-pervading unity.
On this Teachers Day, Little Angels fraternity is proud to say that our teachers are
the true embodiments of this divine quality of Love and Unity. Therefore, we know
that our children are in the safest hands. Cheer up, Teachers! We are proud of you.

ABRAHAM ABRAHAM ABRAHAM ABRAHAM - He
came and saw the
people making
clay models and
calling them God.
He taught them
not to worship their ‘self-created’
lifeless stones and call them God.
Instead, he advised them to believe in
the One True God. He taught people to
sacrifice even their best things on the
path of God.
MOSES MOSES MOSES MOSES –––– He was born
in a time when the
ruler of Egypt –
Pharaoh – had ordered
for all children to be
killed. In spite of all
difficulties and troubles, he guided
people, relieved them from atrocities of
Pharaoh and established the kingdom
of Israel. He gave “10
Commandments” which guide us
towards a godly and civilized life.
ZZZZOROASTEROROASTEROROASTEROROASTER ---- The Religious Authorities of the times of Zoroaster
believed in many gods. But Zoroaster said that there is only one God Whom he referred to as Ahura Mazda (the Highest God). He taught us that our whole life is a struggle between Ahura (the good) and Ahriman (the evil) and those who love God fight in the favour of Ahura.
KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA ---- The entire essence of the life of Lord Krishna is summed up in two words – Love and Duty. He taught that the power of divine love is so great that it can “attract” everything. The word Krishna is derived from the Sanskrit word “Aakarshan” which means ‘to attract.’ He said that one must perform his or her duty in this world with complete detachment and only with a motive of sacrifice (yajna).

knowledge and right conduct. He gave us four basic teachings – 1.1.1.1. We are part of a Whole. Whatever we do affects other people and our surrounding. 2.2.2.2. Nothing is destructible. Matter is
changed into energy, new things are formed out of old ones and the creation goes on. 3.3.3.3. Everything is constantly changing. We must change, too, and accept changes in life as inevitable. 4.4.4.4. As we sow so we reap. Do good and you will get good; do bad and bad will be the result.
JESUS CHRIST:JESUS CHRIST:JESUS CHRIST:JESUS CHRIST: Christ was an embodiment of love, compassion and forgiveness. He said that we must be kind and forgiving even to those who are cruel to us. Another important teaching of
Christ was about Faith in God and oneself. He said that nothing is impossible for a believing soul.
MUHAMMAD:MUHAMMAD:MUHAMMAD:MUHAMMAD: The Founder Prophet of Islam appeared at such a time in human history when most people were ignorant and uncivilized. They were so barbarous that they used to bury their daughters alive. It was Mohammad who unified the scattering tribes and taught them to be submissive to God. The word Islam itself means complete submission to God, under all circumstances.
BBBBAHA’U’LLAHAHA’U’LLAHAHA’U’LLAHAHA’U’LLAH: : : : Unity is the watchword of the Faith that Baha’u’llah – the latest Messenger of God – gave to the mankind. However, the ‘unity’ taught by Baha’u’llah does not only stand for a physical unity of the world. It stands for an individual’s spiritual unity with himself and his Creator, unity of religions and mankind as a whole and a unified purpose, vision and system for advancing the human civilization.
All Divine Messengers Brought the Message of Love
Abdu'l-Baha was in a western country then and was spreading the divine messages of his
Father, Baha'u'llah, in a public meeting when an Indian young man stood and uttered
almost in an indignant voice: “The only purpose that I personally feel for my life is to go out
in the world and spread the teachings of Lord Krishna”. There was silence for a while as
the young man's voice had interrupted the flow of the talk of Abdu'l-Baha. Then he lovingly
called the young man near him, patted on his back and said with a beaming smile: “If you
can do that, nothing will be better than that, because the message of Krishna was the
message of love. All Messengers came here with a message of love. May God bless
you!”

the poor student good and the good student superior. When our
