Youth 2 KnowledgeAboutUsYouth2Knowledge(Y2K)isascience-based,mentalhealthorganisationthateducateschildrenontheimportanceofestablishingandmaintainingpositivementalhealthOurhour-longholistichealthprogramseducatestudentsinregardstobraindevelopment,thedangersofneurotoxins,goalsetting,motivationandtheimportanceofhealthynutritionandexerciseinordertoestablishandmaintainpositivementalhealthY2Kusesthelatest3Dbrainscantechnology,interactivemotor-controlandexercisemodulesdeliveredbytrainedmentalhealthspecialists.Weusefoodpyramids,healthynutritionguidesandaninspirationalgoalsettingandmotivationalmodule.Inourprogramstudentsareengagedwithawidearrayofstimulus,inordertoeffectivelyaddresstheneedsofawiderangeofyouth.Wecaterforgrades2-4,5-6and7-9withourthreescience-basedprogramsthatarespecificallydesignedfortheseagegroups.Individualclassesor<30studentsareoptimallyimpactedbyourmodulesandgenerallyabsorbthemostinformation,soforthisreasonwediscouragelargerclasses.Stafftrainingisalsoavailableuponrequest.

Y2K–Grade5-6Program(HolisticHealth)HereatY2Kweofferaprogramspecificallydesignedforchildreningrades5-6.Thisprogramtitled‘HolisticHealth’,encouragesaholisticapproachtohealthbyinformingyouthsontheimportanceofneuronsinregardstoourphysicalandmentalwellbeing.Inthisprogramwediscussthenegativeimpactthatneurotoxinssuchasillegalnarcoticsandalcoholhaveinregardstoourphysicalandmentalhealth,whilealsoeducatingstudentsontheimportanceofhealthynutritionandadequateexercise,inordertoenhanceourgeneralwellbeing.Inour60minuteprogramkidsreceive:

Youth 2 KnowledgeY2K–Grade7-9Program(HealthConscious)HereatY2Kweofferaprogramspecificallydesignedforyouthsingrades7-9.Thisprogramtitled‘HealthConscious’,informsstudentsabouttheimpactthatchoicesmadeasateenagercanhaveleadingintotheiradultlives.Inthisprogram,weexamine3Dbrainscanstoanalysetheimpactthatneurotoxinshaveonadevelopingbrain.Anoverviewofexerciseandnutritionandtheimpactthatbothofthesefactorshaveinregardstoenhancingourmentalhealthandgeneralwellbeingwillalsobediscussed.Lastly,theprogramwillbeconcludedwithagoalsettingmoduleandamotivationalvideotoencouragestudentstoapplythesemodulestopractise.Inour60minuteprogramteenagersreceive:
