Equipment Equipment is the major asset to a company’s sustainability in the trucking industry. The proper equipment is essential for the care and logistics of all freight.

Doyle transportation has all the latest model equipment with the latest in emissions and aero dynamics.

Smaller power units are often required for city deliveries.

Larger highway tractors are more practical for longer over night trips.

In certain circumstances refrigerated/heated units are essential dependingon the commodity or the area of North America the unit ends up empty for example Alberta, Florida or California.

Doyle Transportation also has capabilities for temperature controlled or food grade perishable commodities.

All trailers are 53’ air ride with a complete logistics package.

All of our trailers are equipped with a complete logistics package that will accommodate load decking bars and logistic straps to maximize cube and secure freight from moving while in transit, ensuring your goods arrive to the destination in the same condition as they were shipped.

How does our equipment effect the environment?Doyle Transportation does this by looking inward and realizing that changes must be made to fulfill environmental needs such as fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency is achieved through proper maintenance and aero dynamics.

Low sulphur fuel and new low emissions exhaust filters reduce harmful gases and particulates. The picture seen on the following slide is a low emission exhaust filter. These filters store particulates and are incinerated which reduce particulates by 90% and harmful gases by 40%.

The aerodynamics on the tractor can increase mileage as much as 10%. Our late model trailers are equipped with side skirts which also reduce drag and increase mileage by an additional 7%.

Further preservation is done by recapping tires, limiting product waste in the office through paperless invoices via the internet, reusable envelopes, recycling laser jet cartridges, cardboard and paper. Doyle Transportation operates in a constantly changing environment with regulations in customs, transportation and logistics. We look to be proactive and meet the challenges head on.

Accomplishments

Doyle Transportation is proud to participate with the CTPAT Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program that was implement be U.S Customs and Border protection post 9/11.

Doyle Transportation is also a Canadian and U.S Bonded Carrier. Doyle Transportation is recognized by Canada Customs as being a post audit carrier

Being post audit we are allowed to deliver cleared shipments on the same trailer.

Doyle Transportation is also recognized under the Customs Self Assessment Program which will give approved importers the benefits of a streamlined accounting and payment process for all imported goods. The streamlined accounting and payment process ends the need for importers to maintain separate and costly customs processes thereby allowing them to use their own business systems to fully access and meet their customs obligations. The CSA program also gives approved importers, approved carriers, and registered drivers the benefits of streamlined clearance option for CSA eligible goods. Streamlined clearance process ends the need for transactional transmissions of data related eligible goods.
