3. The VETERINARY STATUTORY BODY
25
is the most important cornerstone and instrument in the quest by Veterinary Services to achieve, maintain and improve their quality of service delivery of the highest possible standards, based as a minimum on the standards as contained in the OIE Terrestrial (and Aquatic) Code.
The Veterinary Profession as a whole must take “ownership” and
be a dedicated and committed partner of a VSB in order to protect
and guard the right of self-regulation of the profession and to
be at all times part of the “solution” in achieving excellence
in and quality of veterinary services now and in the future !
3. The VETERINARY STATUTORY BODY
26
VETERINARY STATUTORY BODIES IN A NUTSHELL
27
A VSB NEEDS TO BE STRONG LIKE AN ELEPHANT !
VETERINARY STATUTORY BODIES IN A NUTSHELL
28
VSBS NEED TO CONSULT WIDELY – INVESTIGATE TWINNING
VETERINARY STATUTORY BODIES IN A NUTSHELL
29
VSBS NEED TO REPRESENT THE WHOLE PROFESSION & ALL DISCIPLINES (Large or
small)
VETERINARY STATUTORY BODIES IN A NUTSHELL
30
VSBs SHOULD NOT BE SEEN AS A THREAT BUT AS THÉ KEYPARTNER OF THE PROFESSION
VETERINARY STATUTORY BODIES IN A NUTSHELL
31
A VSB NEEDS TO STRONGLY AND DECISIVELY MOVE FORWARD AND FACE MANY NEW
CHALLENGES!
