She has worked with children and families for more than ten years and currently works part-time providing independent psychological assessments for the Family Courts and part-time within Hackney Children’s Social Care. Dr Duprey has been providing assessments for the Family Courts since 2012 and is experienced in attending Court to provide oral evidence. She has been highly commended by a Judge who stated in their summing up of a case that she gave considerable weight to Dr Duprey’s evidence due to her knowledgeable, rigorous, balanced, and compassionate approach to providing evidence. FAMILY LAW EXPERTISE § The psychological assessment of and intervention within families in which there are child protection concerns § She provides expert assessments of parental risk, parenting capacity and the impact of mental health problems § She provides evidence-based assessments of the parent-child attachment using the CARE-Index, Child Attachment Interview or Parenting Development Interview § She is trained in the Parenting Assessment Manual and offers evidence-based assessments of parental capacity § She works with parents with learning disabilities and understands the effect that these difficulties have on parenting and an individual’s ability to engage in legal proceedings § She works therapeutically with traumatised children and the effect that abuse and neglect can have on a child’s development § She provides evidenced-based psychological interventions with children and adults following traumatic experiences, including homicide and developmental trauma and abuse § She works with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties such as autism spectrum conditions and learning disabilities.
