• Did you know that many drain cleaners can contain harsh chemicals? Why expose your family to that kind of irritant when it may not be necessary? Some chemical cleaners might even harm your pipes, while also posing a downstream threat to the environment.

• Here’s a “green” alternative to chemical drain cleaners: take half a cup of baking soda and put it down the drain and then pour a half a cup of vinegar and wait 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes has passed, pour hot water down the drain and this should help remove the clog.
