Standard for Heel Spring

In General for High Heel Pumps the Heel spring must be atleast 1 to 1.5mm & at the area shown in below picture

Reason for Heel Spring1) It helps to tighten the top line of the shoe for a tighter fit.

2) Create a Rocker action for easier Walking

3) It minimizes any fullness in the forepart of the shoe, with Insufficient toe spring excessive creases may form across the vamp with repeated flexing in wear.

4) It gives some Tolerance to the wearer to balance & keep the Heel Flat when the whole body weight is on the Heel

Issues if Incorrect Heel Spring

And for the Flat Heel, we suspect as well can cause Loose or gaping top lines
