The TCS Assessment Team on Conversation Experiences visted our campus today. It headed by Mr. Anantha Sekar, Global head of TCS-Conversational Experiences services, Mr.Balanarayan.G, Academic Interface Programme (AIP) Head, TCS and Ms.Sasirekha, Head of Technology Leadership Guild.

Industry specific practical components conjoint with the theory sessions were a

The School of Management is organising a Two-Weeks AICTE sponsored

Faculty Development Programme on 'Business metrics and its Applications

in Business Decisions' . It was inaugurated by Prof. Rob Peck, Professor,

Concordia College, New York, USA. He enlightened the faculty members and the

SoM students on the benefits of Digital marketing and Big data analytics in his

inaugural address. Our Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet delivered the presidential

address and highlighted the efforts taken by SKCET to establish Industry connects

to instil the latest knowledge and expertise on new business domains.

A mock presentation on the proposal titled ‘Design and Development of

Integrated Automatic Sanitary Vending and Incineration Machine’ by

Prof. R. Priyadhardhini was presented to the faculty members of MCT. This

proposal has been shortlisted for the Subject Expert Committee Meeting during

18-20 July 2019 at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi under the DST

Women Scientist Scheme (WOS-B) scheme.

Mr.S.Venkatesh, 2012-2016 batch alumni of EEE has secured a GATE score of

757 with an All India Rank of 1073 in Electrical Engineering (EE). He has also

secured his M.Tech Admission in ‘Embedded Controls and Software’ at Indian

Institute of Technology(IIT),Kharagpur.

Venkatesh visited the department of EEE today and had a brief talk with the

Second and Third year students of EEE about the preparatory measures to be

taken up for this National level examination to secure M.Tech admission and

Public Sector Unions (PSU) recruitments. He shared the importance of GATE

score and detailed the topper strategy tips to crack the exam.

Department of ECE conducted mock interview for the Final year students. The

mock interview was conducted to encourage the students and to help them get

accustomed to the aspect of being interviewed in order to develop their

communication skills and help them overcome the ‘fear of placement’. The faculty

members evaluated the students based on their resume preparation, technical

skill and presentation skills. The students were given pointers to groom them in

the positive direction.

A Guest lecture was organised on ‘Higher Studies in Foreign Universities’ for

the Third year Mechatronics Engineering students by the Dream Overseas

Education.

Mr. Anatha Sekar, Global Head of TCS Conversational Experience Service Line

and Mr. Balanarayan G, Academic Interface Program(AIP) Head visited the

Embedded and Microcontroller Labs of ECE department, accompanied by

Dr. S. Sophia, HoD/ ECE. Dr.S.Sophia gave a tour of the various labs and

explained the way in which each lab is being handled by the faculty. She also

showcased the components in the lab like 8051 microcontroller and their

interfacing kits to the guests from TCS.
