    Effectively treatsbone and jointinfections,bronchitis,meningitis,gonorrhea, otitismedia,pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, lowerrespiratory tractinfections, skin andsoft tissueinfections, urinarytract infections, and

    is used for surgicalprophylaxis,reducing oreliminatinginfection.

    Hypersensitivity tocephalosporins andrelatedantibiotics; pregnancy(category B), lactation.

    Determine historyof hypersensitivityreactions tocephalosporins,penicillins, and historyof allergies,particularly to drugs,

    before therapy isinitiated.

    Inspect IM and IVinjection sitesfrequently for signs of phlebitis.

    Report onset of loose stools ordiarrhea. Althoughpseudomembranouscolitis.

    Monitor I&O ratesand pattern:

    Especially importantin severely ill patientsreceiving high doses.Report any significantchanges.

    period pains. It isalso used to bringdown a hightemperature. Forthis reason,paracetamol can begiven to childrenafter vaccinationsto prevent post-immunisationpyrexia (hightemperature).Paracetamol isoften included incough, cold and fluremedies.

    Hypersensitivity toacetaminophen orphenacetin; use withalcohol.
