Just months after opening their new showroom in Lincoln City, Airrow Heating has begun offer-ing huge incentives to all Pacific Power custom-ers. Garrett Bush, the transformational leader who took over Airrow’s business operations in 2007, is encouraging Pacific Power customers to run to his new Lincoln City showroom at 2233 NW Highway 101 to cash in on this incredible deal.

The deal will not last forever and there are Lin-coln City residents that have already cashed in on this deal. SILETZ — Homeowners Sandy and Dave Emerson reserved judgment until they saw their energy bill.

“It is consistently 40 per-cent lower than before,” said Sandy as she talked about the advantages of ductless heating and air condition-ing. “We have a lot of mois-

ture where we live, and it removes that with a ‘dry pro-gram,’ too.”

Ductless heating and air conditioning is a highly effi-cient system that provides an even environment at a frac-tion of the cost of baseboards or wall heaters and is less ex-pensive to install than con-ventional furnaces and heat pumps, according to Airrow co-owner Garrett Bush.

“It’s a great product that simply can’t be beat,” claimed

Bush, who spent much of the last year in training schools to master the inverter-driv-en technology at the core of the Daiken product line. “It eliminates the high cost and maintenance of duct work, and the efficiencies are tre-mendous.”

The Emersons agreed to install the ductless system over a conventional set-up based on Bush’s familiarity with his products. It didn’t hurt when he ran energy cal-

culations on the house, de-termining the heating loads with a $1,000 piece of hand-held software.

“We were so impressed af-ter just five minutes that he knew his product so well,” recalled Sandy. “He figured the cost of the tax rebate, had the price of the system and promised a one-day in-stallation — and the job was delivered, as promised.”

Thrilled with the expert installation and follow-up,

the couple waited to see how the Daiken ductless sys-tem would handle the wild weather swings along the upper Siletz River, where temperatures range from eight-degree winters to blis-tering summers.

“It’s constant, even tem-perature,” she said. “Just set it and forget it.”

Emerson called the quiet and unobtrusive Daiken sys-tem “amazing and so easy

to use,” saying many of her friends now wished they had gone ductless, too.

NEWPORT — A re-gional energy coopera-tive has named Airrow Heating & Sheet Metal as the leading installer of high-tech heating systems in a four-state area. The Installer of the Year

Award was bestowed by the Northwest Energy Alliance, sponsor of the Northwest Ductless Heat Project.“The project’s been going on for close to a decade now,” explained Garrett Bush, co-owner and operations manager at Airrow. “Recently, they started recogniz-ing the highest ductless

performer in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. We’re proud to get it. Our custom-ers love their ductless systems. They appreci-ate the lower bills and increased comfort.”Bush runs Airrow with his father, Ron Bush, who directs mechani-cal engineering for the company. Airrow, start-

ed seven years ago, has showrooms in South Beach and Lincoln City.Typically installed in a single day, ductless systems serve primary heating and cooling needs in homes and businesses. Known for producing even heat, the systems can lower electric heating costs by 25 to 50 percent,

according to figures compiled by the energy alliance, a consortium of public and private energy providers.A spokesman for Cen-tral Lincoln PUD, a member of the alliance, credited Airrow for working with its cus-tomers.“With many outstand-ing installers in our

territory, it is our plea-sure to congratulate Airrow Heating on this well-deserved award,” said Wade Carey, energy services administrator for the Newport-based PUD. “It’s clear they have raised awareness of how ductless systems can increase comfort and lower energy bills.”

LINCOLN CITY— Homeowner, Diane Simon, leapt at the opportu-nity to have the Ductless-Times visit her for a photo shoot this summer. She was so excited about the quality and service that Airrow Heating provided that she allowed the Ductless-Times right in her own dining room to show off her new ductless heat-pump. Initially, Diane credited her husband, Dan, for the decision to initially look into the possibility of a ductless heat pump. After meeting, Kevin Stockton, one of Airrow’s master installers, any reservations that Diane might have had about the ductless system were quickly gone.

“Compared to any other options that we were shown, Airrow was clearly the best option,” Diane said.

As it turns out, they were right - the system has turned out to be an amazing investment.

“The system is very quiet and has kept us cool through the summer months. I don’t even notice that it is on most of the time.”

But what Diane was most impressed with was Airrow’s follow up. She noted that Airrow called several times to make sure that the system was functioning properly.

“Their follow up after the installation is what made me feel really good about the decision we made,” Diane said.

The bottom line - Airrow gets it done during every stage of the process.“From the sales staff to installation staff to the front office staff - Air-

row was excellent.”

NEWPORT — Your car carries your family wherever you, or they, need to go. When it needs to be repaired, you need someone who is trained and qualified to fix whatever is wrong with it - not only for value, but more importantly for safety. If you get somebody who does not know what they are doing, you, and your family, could be in danger if something comes apart at 55 mph. The same applies with your home heating system, only you may not realize the danger until it’s too late.

At Airrow, you know that if the need arises, you will get an individual that is fully trained and qualified to repair or maintain your home heating system. We pride ourselves in the fact that training is such a huge part of our philosophy and those qualifications are not just toward one type or brand of equipment, but across a wide range of combinations.

Another popular standard with Airrow is that the customer knows exactly how much any repair will cost before they authorize it. Once a customer agrees, that price stays the same no matter how long it takes. This gives the technician ample time, without pressure, to complete the task without having to hurry.

We also offer a diverse maintenance plan, aptly named the Ultimate Savings Agreement. Ultimate because it is more in depth than other plans offered, savings because it keeps your system at peak efficiency and extends the useful life, and plan because it is a complete package with discounts on repairs, free filters, and priority service.

So as you can see, customer service is the main philosophy at Airrow. Everything we do, we ask ourselves “Would we do this at my mom’s house?” Our customers deserve that.

AIRROW HEATING HELPS KEEP RESIDENTS HEALTHY

DuctlessTimesairrowheating.com

Having a bad air day?

You spend more time in your home than in any other location, so your home’s air quality has a huge impact on your health. You may think your home is clean, but the truth is that the air quality of most homes is worse than the outside air in industrial areas. This is because modern construction places an emphasis on airtight construction for energy savings.

DOES YOUR BILL LOOK LIKE THIS?

A ductless heat pump can lower your heating bill and provide quiet, reliable and efficient heat.

Warm up to the savings

Heating can be the largest energy expense in your home, and those using electric resistance heating (such as baseboards, ceiling and wall heat or electric forced-air furnaces) may have higher-than-average monthly energy costs.

OLD PROBLEM

During the heating season, heat pumps move heat from thecool outdoors into your warm house and during the cooling seas on, heat pumps move heat from your cool house into the warm outdoors. Be-cause they move heat rather than generate heat, heat pumps can provide up to four times the amount of energy they consume.

A NEW SOLUTION to old problems

AIRROW HEATING COMMITTED TO COMFORT

Is the temp in your home a little spotty?

Eliminate hot or cold spots easily as the ductless heat pump can be installed anywhere you need it, quickly and as soon as today. Ductless is also the perfect choice if you’ve extended your home and don’t want the expense of having ad-ditional ductwork installed, or want heating and cooling in outdoor buildings such as sheds. With a range of sizes and capacity you can have the perfect duct-less mini split system installed anywhere you need it.

Forced-air heating sys-tem draws air from your home through ductwork to a furnace (or air condition-er), where the air is filtered and heated (or cooled). The warmed (or cooled) air is then blown back into the rooms of your home through other ductwork. When the air flow is not balanced throughout your system, you will have some rooms that are too warm or too cold.

DUCTLESS TOP 10 LISTAIRROW HEATING WHEN, WHY AND WHO TO GO DUCTLESS WITH

1. INSTALLER OF THE YEAR - A regional energy cooperative named Airrow Heating & Sheet Metal as the leading installer of high-tech heating systems in a four-state area. The Installer of the Year Award was bestowed by the Northwest Energy Alliance, sponsor of the Northwest Ductless Heat Project.

2. TRAINED TECHNICIANS - Airrow Heating’s staff undergo regular training to keep them abreast of developments in technology and installation techniques.

3. EXPANDED LIFESPAN - With zone heating and cooling, the thermostat reacts quickly to temperature changes; this levels out heating and cooling fluctuations and reduces system wear and tear due to constant cycling on and off.

4. LESS MAINTENANCE - Ductless systems eliminate the need for cleaning and sealing duct work.

5. EASE OF INSTALLATION - When time is a factor, ductless systems can be installed within several days, depending on the size of the system. They require no demolition to cut holes in ceilings, floors or walls to accommodate ductwork.

6. ZONE CONTROL - Zoning eliminates the overheating and overcooling associated with ducted systems. In ductless systems, an indoor unit is placed in each zone that needs to be heated or cooled. Each indoor unit comes equipped with a separate temperature control.

7. REDUCED DUCT LOSS - As conditioned air travels through ductwork, it loses efficiency. The ductwork itself can absorb the heat or coolness, or the conditioned air can leak out of the ductwork if it is not properly sealed. More than 30 percent of energy consumption can be attributed to duct losses.

8. NOISE DISRUPTION - Ductless systems eliminate the rumbling noise associated with central air systems and are ideal for quiet environments such as your home.

9. SPACE CONSTRAINTS - Many older homes do not have the space to accommodate the duct work needed to deliver conditioned air throughout the structure. Ductless systems are small and compact; mounted high on the wall or ceiling, they easily fit into the décor of the room and are unobtrusive.

10. SPECIAL NEEDS - Businesses often have special heating or cooling requirements, such as needing a cooler area for a computer room, that are not adequately met with a central air system. With its zoning capability, a ductless unit can aug-ment a central air system and provide just the right degree of warmth or coolness needed for each unique situation.

The goal of this collective ef-fort is to improve comfort and energy savings for homeowners, increase business and workforce opportunities for participating trade allies and grow the num-ber of ductless heat pump instal-lations in manufactured home housing stock.
