During “SPIRIT 2018-19”, GTU sports festival, a Taekwondo competition was organized

on 2nd February, 2019 at S.A.G Sports Complex, Khokhara, Maninagar, Ahmedabad.

Mehulsinh Chauhan, a student of 8th

sem Chemical Engineering with enrollment No-

150990105003 participated in the category “Under 54 Kg” of Taekwondo competition. He

won the Gold Medal in GTU and is selected for AIU (All India University) competition for

national level Taekwondo competition.

HIMANSHU RAO from Mechanical Engineering Department had won the BRONZE

MEDAL at National Level in OPEN NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP

2018 held in Harayana from 12th

to 15th

April 2018.

Akshay Bhatia won a Bronze medal in Kumite and a Bronze medal in Kata event in a All

India Invitation Karate Championship 2018 at Nani Daman.

Rotary Club of Ankleshwar with support of Ank. Ind. Ass., JCI, Lions Club, ONGC &

many more has organised a "Rotathlon (Cyclothone and Walkathon)" on 21st February

2016 with a noble cause of Pollution Free, Healthy and Literate Ankleshwar. To support

the same, Total 285 students, faculty members & Staff members of SRICT participated by

taking part in Rotathlon 2016.

XITIJ -16 (GTU Youth Festival) in various events at zonal level held at SNPIT, Umrakh on

29th Sept – 01st OCT. SRICT students have participated in 6 events and got prizes in 3

events.

SaurabhPrajapati from Environmental Science and Technology, semester-III has won the

second prize for classical vocal solo singing competition at zonal level. SaurabhPrajapati

represented at inter zonal level (state level) competition organized on 5th and 6th October

2014 hosted by Smt. S.R. Patel engineering college, Unjha, Mehsana.
