For Academic Year 2017-2018, the Grade School Department will beholding its annual Science Camping on January 31 – February 1, 2018(Wednesday & Thursday) at Stonyhurst Southville International School –Malarayat Campus.

The camping will start at 5:00 PM of January 31 and will end at 10:00AM of February 1. A letter was sent last January 19 informing parents thatthe advisers should be notified/advised of the children’s allergies and foodpreferences. Please make sure to have coordinated with your child’s adviserregarding this matter. The schedule of activities was also released.

Since the camping will be an overnight activity, students need to bringthe following:

Beddings, pillow, picnic mat Bandana (depending on group color) Slippers Tumbler or water bottle Ecobag (for soiled clothes) Flashlight Extra clothes (intrams shirt, pants, sleepwear) Toiletries (handsoap, alcohol, tissue, face towel) Medicine (if any) Snacks Tent for sharing (optional) Cellphone (for emergency use only; no other gadgets allowed)

Reminders Students should have taken their baths before going to school. Students are encouraged to pack lightly and to bring only the things

essential for the camping. Label your child’s things with his/her name.

Paint My School Challenge – February 7Jean Van’t Hul, in her 2013 book entitled The ArtfulParent: Simple Ways to Fill Your Family’s Life with Art &Creativity, wrote the benefits of arts to kids which arepromoting creativity; encouraging neural connections;building fine motor skills; and developing a child’sproblem-solving activities. This year, SSIS invited artist &painter Darwin Peña to challenge our Grades 1 & 2students in bringing out the artists in them and boostingtheir creative side.

Fun-filled Fair – February 9The last day’s got the sweetest treats!

Inflatables & Trampolines. It’s back! A mini-slide, atrampoline and a giant slide will be situated in thecampus. Tickets cost Php150 and will give you unlimitedaccess to all the inflatables from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Reservation & payment must be made in theAccounting Office. Hurry up and reserve your slots!

Zumba-tuhan. The classic Zumba with a twist will invadeSSIS! This will be a game of war of colors for both GradeSchool & High School students. Students will be requiredto wear white shirts and be ready to get wet and havefun!

Fall in Love Concert. To end the week, we will bring youa night of dance and music with the Fa11 in LoveConcert. This will happen on the 9th, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.Watch out for performances from our students, parentsand the faculty & staff. Should you be interested to havea parent & child performance, please fill out the replyslip below and coordinate with the Principal’s Office.

There will also be food booths and Movie Booth by the Student Council during the Fair.
