    Connecting The DWL-7100AP To YourNetwork

    A. First, connect the power adapter to the receptor at the back panel of the DWL-7100AP and then plug the other end of the power adapter to a wall outlet or power strip. The Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation.

    B. Insert an Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back panel of the DWL-7100AP and an available Ethernet port on the network adapter in the computer you will use to configure the DWL-7100AP. TheLink LED for the LAN Port will illuminate to indicate a proper connection.

    C. Computers with 802.11a/b/g wireless adapters can connect to the DWL-7100AP. The DWL-AG650 AirXpertTM Wireless Cardbus Adapterand the DWL-AG520 AirXpertTM Wireless PCI Adapter will connect, out ofthe box, with the DWL-7100AP, using their default settings.

    Using The Setup Wizard

    When you have completedthe steps in this QuickInstallation Guide, yourconnected network shouldlook similar to this:

    Open your Webbrowser and typehttp://192.168.0.50into the URL addressbox. Then press theEnter or Return key.

    The logon pop-upscreen will appear.

    Type admin for theusername and leave thepassword field blank.

    Click OK

    Once you havelogged in, the Homescreen will appear.

    You will see thefollowing screens.

    Click Run Wizard

    Step 2 - Wireless LAN802.11a SetupThe default wirelesssettings are:SSID = defaultChannel = 52You can change thesesettings to match anexisting wireless network.

    Step 3 - WEP Encryptionfor 802.11aThe DWL-7100AP is capableof 64-, 128-, and 152-bitencryption. Select the keysize you wish to use andenter the key in the fieldprovided. By default, WEP isDisabled.
