ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT

All Performance team enrolments are for a full DSA calendar year, over a forty (40) week period. Once a student’s enrolment is finalised a commitment to pay

fees over the agreed period of time is acknowledged.

P A Y M E N T S

Fees at DSA are competitive whilst still maintaining the high standards of training which we are renowned for. Fees are charged on an annual basis and are paid over the full year. Each member will receive an invoice for classes that they are enrolled in at the beginning of the year. This includes class fees and costumes along with compulsory extras. You’re only charged for classes over the forty (40) week enrolment period, ensuring that all contract values are completed by the end of year production. You are not charged for public holidays or school holidays. Payment must only be made via the third party direct debit company. Payments will be deducted on a weekly basis which will occur Friday of each week. Direct debits will only be deducted from the authorised account that is listed on the direct debit form. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.

W I T H D R A W I N G F R O M P E R F O R M A N C E T E A M

Performance team requires a full year commitment, and anyone that wishes to discontinue at any stage will be required to pay for the year in full. Performance team fees are non-refundable unless sufficient evidence is shown of injury or illness. Cancellations are made at the discretion of the Artistic Director and upon the supply of sufficient documentary evidence. A refund may be made or negotiated due to illness, hospitalisation, other medical conditions or extenuating circumstances.

C O M P E T I T I O N F E E S

DSA Competition fees are a one-off fee charged to all performance team families. The competition fees will be included in your weekly direct debit payment, and will cover the cost of routine entry fees, competitor passes for all competitions throughout the year and compulsory extra pre-planned Sunday rehearsals.

Y O U R P R I V A C Y

EXPECTATIONS

C L A S S A T T E N D A N C E

Performance team students are required to attend all enrolled classes, including both performance team and general classes. Students are expected to show 100% attendance and commitment in all classes. Any student that misses three or more lessons without a valid reason will run the risk of being placed out of whole routines or sections of routines. DSA ask that you please inform administration of any dates that your child and/or children may be absent as soon as possible so that we are able to inform our trainers. No student is allowed to be apart of performance team if they will miss a competition date. Please make special note that your fees will continue to be deducted regardless of your childs attendance and commitment to their classes.

P E R F O R M A N C E T E A M T R A I N I N G   C L A S S E S

Any student that misses any lessons three weeks from a competition date may be liable to pay for any extra rehearsals that may need to be scheduled.

E X C L U S I V E R E Q U I R E M E N T S

As a member of performance team, you are required to participate in scheduled classes at DSA and any other classes at DSA that students may want to join. Students in performance team are exclusive to DSA, classes at other studios or establishments are not welcomed to performance team members. Being a member of performance team requires you to always attend your scheduled classes and always work at a high standard. Performance team students are representing the studio at competitions, events and in classes and are expected to show 100% loyalty and commitment to the studio at all times. Your commitment to Dynamite Studios Australia and the performance team should be your priority. Whilst we do encourage our students to get involved in extra curricular activies such as school musicals etc, it is imperative that all performance team events, rehearsals, performances and competitions come first.

Y O U R P L A C E I S N O T G U A R A N T E E D

Students are not guaranteed to maintain the position that they have in a particular routine should their work ethic, commitment or attendance be seen to drop throughout the year. Positions in each of the routines are selected by the choreographer and are always given to the most deserving of students and should not be questioned at anytime. If at anytime a student is unsure of anything ie: choreography etc, we recommend arranging private lessons to catch up to speed. These can be arranged via administration only. Should you wish to receive feedback on your child, a meeting with the Artistic Director can be arranged at suitable time via administration.

A V A I L A B L E F O R E V E R Y E V E N T

Performance team students are required to be available for all performance team competitions and events. Anyone who isn’t able to make an event will be placed out of the routines and will not be placed back in. P R E S E N T A T I O N & O R G A N I S A T I O N

Performance team students are expected to uphold a high level of presentation and organisation at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Bringing all required items to all events.

• Arriving at events on time and in full uniform.

• Taking pride in appearance, both on and off the stage.

• Wearing full uniform if supporting.

I N T H E A U D I E N C E A N D W H E N A C C E P T I N G A W A R D S

DSA students are expected to show 100% support to not only fellow DSA members but students of other schools at all times. When in the audience we ask that students show respect to competing schools and abide by the guidelines of the event.

CHOREOGRAPHY

C H O R E O G R A P H Y B L O C K S

All choreography blocks with Interstate trainers will be held in the September/October school holidays so they are ready for the following Eisteddfod season. Local trainers will be available to hold choreography blocks on school holidays throughout the year. To book you will be able to do so via the online portal closer to the date.

If your child has received notice from any eisteddfod's that they will be in any championships/finals please make contact with administration via email to arrange holiday choreography blocks for new routines. Routines will be taught in a choreography block for a set fee, the fee starts at $350 and will go up from there depending on the choreographer. Included in that fee is the following:

• Training block

• Choreography

• Edited music

• Costume suggestions

R O U T I N E S , C O S T U M E S A N D   M U S I C

• All routines must be choreographed and rehearsed on DSA campus, unless otherwise approved by the Artistic Director.

• All costumes must be approved by the Artistic Director.

• All choreography must be approved by the Artistic Director before being performed on stage.

• All song choices must be approved by the Artistic Director before being taught to the student/s

• Anyone wishing to use existing choreography, costume or an existing routine must also have the routine, choreography, costume and song approved by the Artistic Director.

W E E K L Y L E S S O N S

Students may learn a new routine during their weekly lessons at no extra cost however, there is no guarantee that a routine will be completed by a particular deadline should you choose this option. If your child is booked in a set competition we recommend a choreography block as there will be no opportunity for any make-up or extra lessons as we do not have the capacity to facilitate this.
