In your hands, dear students, more than in ours, will restthe final success or failure of your course. Since this
institute was founded, each set of students hascontributed to make NiA what it is today. Their successstands testimony to the quality, in their laurels you will
shine.
There are multiple challenges ahead not just in yourstudies but in the civic life that surrounds you. Once you
complete the program and go forth in a career, you too willface a struggle against the common enemies of man:
tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself. Will you unite against these enemies to emerge as a strongand global community that can assure a more fruitful life
for all mankind? Will you join in a social effort to become astronger society?
In the long history of the world, only a few generationshave been granted the role of defending freedom in its
hour of maximum danger. Let us not shirk from thisresponsibility - welcome it. The energy, the faith, the
devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light ourcountry and all who serve it - and the glow from that fire
can truly light the world.
Ask not what your country will do for you, but whattogether we can do for our country.
Democracy is not just about an individual's rights, it isabout each individual's rights. Freedom is not about someof us being more free than others but for each one to be
free. Secularism is not just my right to practice my religionbut for each one's right to do so.
Let us change our own self from this day onwards andpractice a modern, democratic, free and secular life.
Welcome to NiA

So things arelooking great and we are not hearingwords like 'downsizing' and'retrenchment' any more.
At NiA we believe - 'Let challenges bethere and our young ones willovercome these, for they come fullyprepared'. In the past fifteen years, wehave received a tremendous amount ofsupport from the advertising andmedia fraternity, and on behalf of NiA,I thank them sincerely.

One, the courseware is designed tokeep in mind the industryrequirements. Regular reviews keepthe curricula in step with the changes
that make this environment sodynamic.
Two, the regular faculty itselfcomprises working professionals.Unlike elsewhere, they do not show uponce-in-a-while.
Three, it is essentially the result of firsttwo points, our students end upgetting good breaks in nice places.
But the nicest of all reasons, to mepersonally, is that most of our studentskeep in touch and drop-by often, evenmuch after they pass out.

The IXP Objective: Learning throughContext - To develop outstandingleaders that will make a difference inthe world demands a businesseducation and perspective that is bothpractical and far-reaching. NBS'sInternational Experience program (IXP)maximizes participant-centeredlearning experiences by integrating theschool's distinctive case method ofteaching with field-based learningactivities that integrate first andsecond-year students during asemester break.
The cornerstone of the IXP is the
expertise of faculty leaders whodevelop program content around keyteaching objectives reached throughglobal field-based learning activities.
An IXP typically is comprised of athree-part learning experience:
* Pre-departure activities to introduceand prepare students for the IXP
* An intensive multi-day IndustryExperience during the break thatmay combine travel, meetings, andstudent projects
* A post-program opportunity forsharing lessons learned with thewider NBS and Industry
communities
The IXP Difference: Not a Trek - The IXPdiffers from the NBS Career Treks inseveral important ways. First andforemost, faculty leaders developprogram content and lead each IXP.Second, faculty leaders' educationalobjectives shape IXP itineraries andactivities. Third, faculty leaders committo the pedagogy of experientiallearning, meaning that the IXP aims togo beyond creating educated tourists, thereby facilitating the transmission of
key ideas in managerial practicethrough learning activities. Fourth isthe related commitment to helpstudents learn by completing workprojects and then sharing theirexperiences with the wider NBScommunity.
For the class of 2011-13, NBS ispleased to offer the following IXPs:
* London: Financial Management inchallenging times
* Oxford: International TradePractices relearned
* New York: Meeting the emergingnew world order
* China: Understanding a BusinessEnvironment
* Europe: Europe Divided? TheEconomic Geography of Business
* India: Incredible India - NewOpportunities and NewChallenges
* Israel: The Entrepreneurship andVenture Capital "Miracle"
* Brazil: Business Opportunities inEmerging Markets
