• E-learning is a complementary, respectively alternative training and learning method (M&S) and as such a part of the masterplan.

• E-learning is able to cover 20-25% of the training (=40-50% of the theoretically acquirable knowledge).

• E-learning achieves its highest effectiveness, when it is applied in „blended mode“.

• The implementation of e-learning in the armed forces canonly be successful, if the method is introduced top-down and if the means are provided (also financially).

• The upper echelon must support the method.• E-learning does not introduce itself! There always has to be

a motor.• The users (students) do not have any troubles and

appreciate the method a lot.• The trainers need time to look into the method and its

advantages.• Once introduced there is no turning back.• The infrastructure’s reliability must be a given.
