God prepare the earth for us• He made the earth the skies, the seasons, vegetations,

animals before he made us and put us in the environment perfectly suited for us.

• 11 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so.

• 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.Gen1:11-12

God created us with a purpose in mind

• We are no accidents God has good plans for us.• 26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image,

according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.“Gen1:26,28

Eagle Courtship and Proposal

Page 8: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

He must be tested to be trusted• They take their courtship and future partnership seriously and the

female will not commit unless the male is worth the effort, can be trusted to be loyal, faithful, caring patient, enduring and dependable.

• We too should test before we trust21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.• 1Thes5:21• God does test us to train us to reign with Him.• 11 As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading

out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings,• Deut32:11

God man out of woman

• 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

• 23 And Adam said: " This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man."

Eagle Fidelity and faithfulness• They will have just one partner for life unless their partner dies, then they will

look for another one.• They look after their young together and are totally committed to each other.• He must go through different tests and pass them all before his proposal will be

accepted.• We too should be faithful to our spouse and not play ‘away game’. Marriage

should a life long commitment and relationship.• 16 But Ruth said: " Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from

following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.Ruth1:16

• 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

• 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.Gen2:24-25

Eagle’s quest for freedom• The eagle is a symbol for freedom and cherishes its freedom to

reign in the skies. That is why those that been held captive in the zoo are so sad because they are robbed of their reason for being: king of the skies

• We too should cherish our freedom from the bondage of sin, be reconciled to Christ and be set free to be who God called us to be: set free to soar in the purposes of God for our life.

• 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.“John8:32

• 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

• Gal5:1

Parental care

• They will care for their own until they are of age to take care of themselves.

• We too should care for our offspring

Page 17: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

Eagle preparation for posterity

• Eagles will not shirk their parental responsibility of preparing their young for adult life.

• They will bat their young to the edge of the cliff until the tumble down

• And then they swoop down to catch it before it crashes down and does this until the penny drops from the eyes of the young : ’I can fly’!

• We too should not shirk from training our children the way they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it.

To go hand in hand till death do them part

Maximising Momentum

• Eagles study the wind velocity and know when to spread their wings so that it caries them to where they want to go to effortlessly.

• What destroys other birds is a bonus and ladder and lift to them

• They look forward to the storm to come into form• We too need to study the wind current in the spiritual

realm as to know when it serves us best as to maximise momentum and excel in our endeavours.

Page 21: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

Eagle eye is sharp and unique

Page 22: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

Penetrating eyes• It can see its prey miles away• It has two sets of eyelid; one washes the cornea every few

seconds and can see even the cornea is being washed• It can also soar into the blinding sun without any damage

to its eyes because of the other out eyelid, can see forward and sideways at the same time without losing focus

• We too need to have two sets of eyelids enabling us to navigate the natural terrain knowing what to do in pragmatic terms and also the ability to see beyond the natural through the eyes of God.

Eagle delicatessen• Rabbit, snake, fresh fish• You are what you eat. Let’s eat good, and

glorious food; well-balanced diet, natural, mental and spiritual. Let’s avoid junk food that will cause us to be obese naturally or spiritually or malnourished

• We need to realise that man shall not leave by bread alone abut by every word that proceed from the mouth of God. Matt4:4,Ps.1:1-3, Josh1:8, Heb4:12

Eagle Valley of resurgence

• Molting process or mode: over a period of 150days

• Bashing of Calcium-laden beak• Removal of talons• Waiting that that grow back• Removal of feathers• Waiting until they grow back

Page 27: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

Renew your strength from time to time

• 31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

• It can be painful but it is also gainful• It requires self-denial• If you pay the price you will obtain the prize: a

new coat, new anointing, second wind Luke4:14, Acts10:38, Acts2:1-4, Acts13:1-2, Ps84:1-4

Eagle Vulnerability : Achilles Heel

Page 33: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

When the Hunter is Hunted• When the eye over estimate its strength it can be

vulnerable to snakes and even fish that can drown the eagle that came to hunt it for food if the eagle refuses to let go after swooping into a river for the fish that is many times its weigh.

• It is also vulnerable to snakes when its is not very careful and can be poisoned to death.

• Also during the molting mode some eagles can be so depressed that they may peck others to death or die because of depression or starvation.

• See beyond the natural; see the coming glory

Page 34: Eagle Odyssey and the Christian Journey

Be vigilant and be sober• 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: " God resists the proud, But gives

grace to the humble."• 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.Jam4:6-7• 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this

you will save both yourself and those who hear you.1Tim4:16• 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.1Cor10:12• 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many

foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.• 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed

from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

• 11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

• 1Tim6:9-11• 22 Abstain from every form of evil. IThes5:222

• 6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.

• 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

• 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
