Earth and beyond!Made by Kyla
Earth• Earth is the only planet that has living things on
it (that we know of)• Most of Earth’s land was made by volcanos while
others were made by meteors (or asteroids.) • After all that, people came to life and so did
nature and animals.
SUN
• The sun is very hot because it is made of ‘Hot gas’.• The sun is a huge star that gives us light.• In the middle of the sun is the core. The next layer is the
Radiative zone, next is the Convective zone and finally the sun spots.
Moon
• The moon is a ball of rock.• Looking at it from Earth, the shape of the moon seems to
change slightly from one night to the next.• That is because it rotates around the Earth so a different part
of it is lit up by the sun.
Comets
• Comets are lumps of ice and rock.• They always point away from the sun.• There is a straight gas tail and a broader,
curved dust tail.
Stars• Stars are giant balls of hot light.• Some even make patterns in the sky. Like the largest constellation in the heavens
is Hydra, named after the mythical sea serpent.• There are many different types of stars, the red dwarfs, the brown dwarfs, (or
failed stars) and the constellation stars.
Mars
• Mars is the fourth planet from the sun (Earth is the third.)• It is known as the Red planet, for its reddish colour dust.• Dry river beds and old sea shores prove that water once flowed on Mars.
