We offer high quality specialist tuition in a broad
range of subjects to small groups of students.
Time will be divided between formal teaching
and examination technique. Several of our
tutors are, or have been, examiners for the
various examination boards.
Students from all schools are welcome andmany of those attending each year do so on
the recommendation of previous participants.
We believe that this shows the value that the
students feel they gain from the course.
The course is offered on both residential and
non-residential basis, with accommodation
provided in single-sex boarding houses.
The cost includes dinner and supper fornon-residential students and full board for
residential students.
Course objectives
• To improve understanding,
recall and technique
• To develop confidence in
the approach to examinations
• To identify weaknesses
• To make the most of strengths
• To provide opportunities for, and set
candidates on the road to success
Course organisation
The Course Director is responsible for the
organisation of tuition for each student and
for the general welfare of the students during
the course. He will monitor students’ progress
and aim to ensure that the needs of all
students are being met.
Students at all levels may opt for tuition in up
to three subjects for 11 hours each. It may
also be possible to offer a reduced programme
of one or two subjects. Please contact the
Course Administrator for availability.
Pupils will be given personal assistance relating
to their needs rather than just full subject tuition.
Whilst studies are the main reason for attending
the course we feel that some recreational time
is essential to help the students unwind after the
demands of the day’s work. Residential students
will have time to relax in their boarding houses
after the last study session of each day.
Each year we help around 250 students
to prepare for examinations at
GCSE, AS& A2 Level
