Can you host a foreign exchange student in your home for the Fall 2018 semester at Alleman? Lydia and Sophia, twin 10th graders from Germany, need separate host families starting in August. Students will be responsible for their own transportation to school, their expenses are covered, and each is permitted to share a room with a girl close in age. You will receive a monthly hosting sti-pend. This is an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange and to support enrollment at our local Catholic high school. A Mass of Remembrance for Jack Real (formerly, Fr. Jack Real) will be on Wednesday, April 4, at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart in Rock Island, 2810 5th Avenue. Jack passed away peacefully on March 17 in Colorado and this will be a local opportunity for people to celebrate his life and impact, especially those who remember him from his days assigned at both Sacred Heart and St. Joseph's in Rock Island.

Healing Mass at Sacred Heart Rock Island All are welcome and encouraged to participate in the monthly Healing Mass on Thursday, April 5th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2810 5th Avenue, Rock Island. A beautiful celebration of the Holy Eucharist begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by a time of worship, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer of healing for each individual that wishes to partici-pate and closing with a Benediction. In two weeks our parish will be participating in the Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA) for the Diocese of Peoria. As followers of Christ, we are called to re-spond to God’s grace in our lives and to serve one another. The Annual Diocesan Appeal is an oppor-

tunity to respond to His grace by sharing our treasure to help our neighbors throughout the diocese. Please give generously as God has given to you.

Spring Rummage Sale 2018 ~ The parish’s Spring Rum-mage Sale will be held April 12, 13 & 14. This is a parish un-dertaking and many hands make light work. You can help setup at the parish center, sort through items or work on any of the sale days. We also need help on Sat. April 14th to help take down.
