    Sand and Water: Butterfly Nets with floating and sinking butterflies ad nets

    Blocks: Butterfly floor puzzle

    Math/Maipulatives: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board Game- like chutesand ladders

    Library: Books! Books! Books! About butterflies and caterpillars

    Discovery/Science: Butterfly blocks- students will get to examinepreserved butterflies

    Computers: Kid Pic Art: draw pictures of caterpillars and butterflies usingpaint on computer

    Cooking: Stamps and Butterfly sewing

    Writing Center: Butterfly Stencils and caterpillar cut outs- students willmake collages or draw picture and write story about it

    10:15-10:25 Special Activity: North vs. South Butterfly game- students will practicegross motor skills such as jumping, skipping, etc. as they migrate north and south (likered light, green light)

    10:25-10:35Small Groups: Now that I am a butterfly, I will Students will finish open-ended sentence and draw picture to accompany it. They will be creating their own pageof a class book.

    10:35-11:00 Outside/Large Motor: TR: Colorful Ribbons- students will get theopportunity to practice their large motor skills using colorful ribbons.11:00-11:15 Story Time
